Not that the Iowa Caucus or whichever candidate is announced as its winner truly matters.

Of the three most likeliest Democratic challengers for their party’s nomination ;Sanders,Biden and Warren present an undistinguished,inseparably mundane and ideologically neutered range to choose from.

We do indeed live in interesting times.

And that's cold bloody comfort for the 99.999% of human society who are at best mere spectators of the events unfolding in the Middle Eastern imbroglio aka Iran /Iraq /Syria.

Having brazenly violated recognised tenets of International Law as well as long held diplomatic norms and conventions, POTUS Trump as Commander-in-Chief threatened in the most egregiously graphic terms to annihilate Iranian cultural sites should the government in Tehran consider some sort of retaliatory action against the US for its assassination of General Soleimani.

Even the most reliably docile and compliant lickspittle NATO lackeys of the US were moved to point out that Trump's apocalyptic threat,if enacted,would constitute a war crime.

Trump and his coterie of war-mongering Neocon hawks -Pompeo et al blithely acknowledged this a couple of days later and muttered something about of course the'll be obeying international law on this matter.

Meanwhile, elements within the Iranian leadership ordered the firing of some ballistic missiles at targets inside Iraq being used as airbases for US led coalition forces.

Trump's tweeted response to this Iranian violation of International Law etc. was "All is Well"...

The UK government's posture on any of this is utterly and entirely superfluous and irrelevant and has no bearing on the situation.

Bluff,bluster and a vainglorious recapitulation that Britain used to be something 100 years ago are simply the ill rehearsed soliloquy repeated by idiots; full of sound and fury and signifying nothing.

On the third day of the beginning of a new decade,POTUS Donald Trump ordered the assassination of Iran's leading military Commander General Soleimani. The drone strike took place at Baghdad International airport in Iraq.

You could argue that several ,what are considered inviolable,tenets of International Law were violated.

One head of state ordering the killing of a prominent general of another state whilst they are not at war with one another, on the territory of a third state is indisputably gangsterism.

Then again, the conservative Republican neocon faction and their liberal Democrat overseas interventionist counterparts in Washington DC are the very bedrock of US imperialist foreign and military policies.They are both the authors of chaos and the harbingers of cataclysm.

The Rubicon has been crossed.

The only scenario left to ponder is,when it will be deemed expedient to eliminate a Chinese or Russian general in such a similar fashion.

If nothing else the year brought to mind the time worn adage,attributed to Karl Marx, that History repeats itself,first as a tragedy then as a farce.

2019 is drawing to a close with the US House of Representatives voting to have President Trump Impeached.The so-called impeachment trial will take place in the US Senate,who it seems from a party partisan perspective will in effect nullify the charges which the Democrat party controlled House of Representatives have passed against POTUS.

The Democratic Party's insidious Long War to overturn the 2016 Presidential election result enters what are,its final stages.

The malevolent,anti-populist campaign that sought unceasingly to slander,defame,denounce and vilify Trump's upset victory over the odds-on favourite,globalist,deep state warmonger champion Hilary Clinton has now gone on for so long that the constitutional electoral cycle is now prepping for the 2020 Presidential election.

This particularly American Grand Farce had (has?) its mirror image here in the UK,where our domestic equivalent of the globalist deep state aka the metropolitan ruling elite aka the establishment had similarly conducted an EU financed campaign of slander,defamation,denunciation and vilification of the 2016 EU Referendum Result and all those whose Voted to Leave upset the elites' apple cart.

The Tory electoral triumph- with an overall Commons majority of 80 seats, led by a barnstroming PM Boris Johnson has finally drawn a line under the do we-don't we actually carry out the mandate for Brexit. Yes we bloody well do.

The UK's farce unlike the one across "The Pond",doesn't end in an impeachment or trial of any kind,but rather in a brutally divisive internecine Labour leadership contest of all whose putative candidates helped spearhead the EU funded,seditionist,metropolitan elitist run Remain campaign.

Brexit having sucked virtually all the political debating oxygen out of the UK polity these last few years, has as I’ve posted before, curbed my penchant and enthusiasm for blogging from a previous average of 8 or 9 blog posts per month down to a bare average of 5 such posts per month.

And even that has me rummaging around , often in previous years for the really substantive posts on Brexit.

Even the predominant themes and issues currently holding sway in the West has been reduced to some kind of near-paranoia concerning The Peoples’ Republic of China and its economic prowess.

The imbroglio in Syria gets little coverage across the corporate MSM in comparison to what it once did 4 or 5 years ago.Mainly because the Syrian government forces with Russian and Iranian assistance have in large part prevailed.The US and its deluded EUNATO satrapies have neither the will,appetite or logistics any more to seriously alter the ,now seemingly ineluctable outcome.Only quasi-bankrupt Turkey under the egotistical maniacal leadership of Erdogan is still in position to perpetuate the looming folly of a third world war by accident or miscalculation.

Trump meanwhile causes barely concealed sniggering in enquring after the availability of Greenland for purchase by the USA.

Yes, it was ,as it turns out being serious. Snark turned to faux- outrage,compounded by his unilateral cancelling of a state visit to Denmark after their Premier stated the blindingly obvious that its territory of Greenland was not up for sale.

And in conclusion, even the last chance saloon ,eleventh hour desperate gamble against overwhelming diplomatic odds to force through Brexit by Premier Johnson seems to be to enamoured of caution and overshadowed by the ghost of premiers past such as May rather than the putative future seemingly vouchedsafe to the Leave voters.

A few days ago,POTUS told the NATO conference attendees to start stumping up more money on defence .The Corporate and  globalist MSM and hack commentariat admonished President Donald Trump variously for what they asserted was an unforgivable diplomatic/politically strategic faux-pas and downright bad manners.
POTUS made a valid point from the perspective of the US taxpayer ;the member nations  of NATO need to increase their defence expenditure,quite dramatically in most cases,if they want to enjoy the level of military security and preparedness which they are quite happy for the US to provide at its expense.
Advocating a liberal interventionist agenda ( that bears remarkable similarities to what the neocon US agenda actually looks like in practice) and joining in on sanctions devoid of any legitimacy in International Law against Russia,Iran,North Korea et al costs taxpayers- the Electorates in all NATO member states, money.
Days after this masterly exposition of Basic Economics 101 to his fellow NATO leaders, POTUS arrived in the UK for his scheduled official visit.And off went the PC globalist metropolitan middle class dog-whistles with their usual cacophony that comprised, in equal measure-otiose cant,vacuous platitudes and non sequiturs.

A year ago Guido Fawkes  published a map of the constituencies with the most signatories for a petition opposing Trump's visit to Britain.
The map from Press Association shows that 15 of the top 20 constituencies with the most signatories in favour of cancelling Trump’s state visit are in London. The rest of the country doesn’t seem bothered, other than the student towns of Oxford, Cambridge, Bristol, Brighton and Edinburgh.
One year on from the visit that never eventuated,and it's all back on again.Apparently; albeit with no firm date as yet.
This means that the uni student common room slackers aka  SWP /Momentum /Green heroic vanguard of proletarian consciousness will be repainting their placards and practising their litanies of otiose cant and vacuous platitudes which they'll seek to deploy on the day itself.
Pseudo-moralistic posturing ( aka virtue-signalling ) ,will once again be to the fore in the ever shrinking realm of MSM  public discourse.All the visceral worthwhile polemic will be on social media as usual and which MSM still doesn't quite get yet.

President Trump retweeted links to some highly contentious video content which purported to show certain egregious acts perpetrated by islamic extremists.

Of and by themselves the video footage are not particularly informative and are singularly devoid of any semblance of gravitas and credibility.

Apparently Sharks have the ability to sense 1 globule of blood amid 25 million globules of water. It took no time at all for the full panoply of Corporate MSM and every social media platform under the sun to join in the feeding frenzy over what charitably might be described as the President's gaffe.

What exacerbated the whole incident was that Trump directed his initial tweet at the UK Prime Minister,after having initially tweeted the wrong Theresa May.There followed,quite naturally a response and of course POTUS then sent a rejoinder tweet.

It might be instructive at this juncture to note,perhaps even to make a not entirely attenuated historical analogy, that in 1913 ,the Daily Telegraph , in the midst of a persisting Anglo-German diplomatic hiatus, published an unexpurgated interview with Kaiser Wilhelm in which he was invited to give his considered opinions and insights into the British people. Oh boy...

These current miscreant videos and their tendentious content originated from a microscopically tiny,politically utterly peripheral and impotent cult like grouping with the adopted grandiose moniker of " Britain First ". Which of course elevates the entire imbroglio to unwarranted and undeserved heights of quasi-relevance.

The other day in Warsaw,as a precursor to the scheduled G-20 summit being held in Hamburg the following day, President Trump made a speech. Whilst it was heralded in some quarters with varying degrees of anticipation, the symbolism was as cumbersome and telegraphed as any denouement in  third rate murder novel. Quite what Trump was trying to get across that was unique,remarkable or unexpected remains at best a mystery; then again perhaps he really wasn't trying to do any of the aforementioned at all. Heavily underlined were the rather otiose notions of western values and civilisation and the will of the people. His actual audience on the spot in  the EU-subsidised satrapy were cohorts bussed in from the countryside by the ruling Law & Justice Party ( PIS  being there Polish acronym). And Trump's speech writers really did seem to be taking the proverbial P,I,S. Russia was officially admonished for its support of the governments of Syria and Iran,as well as its own dealings and involvement in The Crimea and The Ukraine.None of which please the dominant NeoCons of Washington.Russia really is being most unhelpful. And that was about it, all to the sound of synchronised cheering. The allusions didn't work; the hoped for referencing of Trump in Warsaw with Kennedy in Berlin,June 26 1963 let alone Reagan in Berlin 12 June 1987- was never going to happen either. the world isn't actually holding its breath.Syria/Iraq.ISIS/Yemen/Qatar/Kurdistan/Libya/North Korea/Afghanistan will simply be allowed carry on. The usual suspects of cronies,shills, amoral ideological whores,cranks, venal opportunists, satrapies and congenital bootlickers came out on cue to deliver their verbal and verbose faux-oaths and declarations of support for each and every one of those cruise missiles fired in direct contravention of International Law, the governments of UK,Australia,Japan,Israel,Turkey amongst them. A referendum was expected to take place in the United Kingdom in 2006 to decide whether the country should ratify the proposed Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe. However, following the rejection of the Constitution by similar referendums in France in May 2005 and the Netherlands in June 2005, the UK vote was postponed indefinitely. The question was rendered moot when the constitution was superseded by the Treaty of Lisbon, which Parliament ratified in 2008 without holding a referendum.

The final excruciating disintegration of the post-1945 world order is in full swing. The once pre-eminent position occupied by the USA, as the world's leading hegemon, is irretrievably lost. The beauty of this process is highlighted by the alacrity with which certain factions within the American-domiciled globalist ruling elites and political class are going about vandalising and laying waste to all their once revered institutions. The Presidency not least has come in for a terrible enfilade of vituperative slander and denunciation as if it and its newest incumbent were somehow the very embodiment of a particular class or foreign enemy. Utterly unbelievable! Americans, never proficient in the arts and mysteries of irony, lack the critical faculties needed in order to fully appreciate the ravening insanity that they've descended into. A scenario not entirely dissimilar to the one currently embroiling the polity of the United Kingdom in the wake of the victorious #brexit campaign that culminated in the epoch making EU referendum result of 23 June 2016. Strikingly similar globalist, PC multicultural apologist, metropolitan elitists with their placard-waving antidemocratic seditionist rants and forays into the more arcane realms of legalistic formulae and mystical incantations about " freedom of movement " abound on both sides of the Atlantic. And so it goes. China,India,Russia and a vast swathe of sovereign nation states and regions not ineluctably bound to the failing liberal despotisms of the US and EU are ushering in however tentatively a new and greater future! Hail, Brexit , Hail Trump ; their role as harbingers has been carried out successfully.

The media reported that President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Friday banning all immigrants and visa holders from seven majority-Muslim nations from entering the United States for 90 days. The executive order, titled “Protecting the Nation From Terrorist Attacks by Foreign Nationals,” applies to visitors from Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, Somalia, Libya, and Iran, including dual citizens. It bans all refugees for 120 days and Syrian refugees indefinitely. For two days, the ban also applied green card holders. (Now green card holders are being admitted entry on a case-by-case basis.)

It is the inalienable right of sovereign nation states to determine their own citizenry. Poland's foreign minister in supporting the USA's initiative reaffirmed that " every sovereign country has the right to decide its own immigration policy ". No-one is asserting that they are somehow,in some theological/philosophical/moral sense innately superior to any other contending or wholly antithetical political point -of-view.  

The howling mobs of placard-wavers who took to the streets in  metropolitan USA and for instance in Britain in London and several other university towns would have it otherwise. A cacophonous broadside of vacuous platitudes and incoherent rants labelled the US temporary visa restrictions as racist,islamophobic and smeared the measures and President Trump with plentiful disingenuous non sequiturs mostly alluding to Hitler and the NSDAP Government of 1930's Germany. The same core of faux-left/liberal ,anti-democratic PC multicultural apologists swapped slogans on the placards they've waved in seeking to annul #brexit and hey presto they became the  " sea " of protestors calling for no borders,open borders and welcome to muslim refugees.

They're attempting to re-write the old adage that you can't fool all the people all the time. Slogans With Placards are certainly trying for fooling most people all of the time.

There is a time and a place for profundity, for the issuing of deeply held philosophical,existentialist insights into the human condition and our place in the universe. But now isn't one of those times. Now is the time for another celebration, a lifting of the middle finger at the PC,multiculturalist,globalist liberal elites and their discomfort,displeasure and encroaching sense of existential dread. President Trump. The Man of Action, long thought to have been lost to History has re-appeared. That together, in synchronicity with the #Brexit phenomenon has spectacularly reinvigorated political discourse throughout Europe and North America. A LePen triple whammy in France this year would really be the icing on the cake. Let's hope so;and if providence is so inclined, make it so. Paranoid delusions have now strengthened their grip on the social democratic/wiberal/multiculti ideological ragpicking fraternity and its #EU abomination. The days of interminable Schadenfreude that now lie ahead  for the antidemocratic metropolitan elites, are the paths to restoration of Sovereignty,of the emancipation of Christian values. The trumpet has sounded forth that shall never call retreat!
