Advocating a liberal interventionist agenda ( that bears remarkable similarities to what the neocon US agenda actually looks like in practice) and joining in on sanctions devoid of any legitimacy in International Law against Russia,Iran,North Korea et al costs taxpayers- the Electorates in all NATO member states, money.
Days after this masterly exposition of Basic Economics 101 to his fellow NATO leaders, POTUS arrived in the UK for his scheduled official visit.And off went the PC globalist metropolitan middle class dog-whistles with their usual cacophony that comprised, in equal measure-otiose cant,vacuous platitudes and non sequiturs.

Schadenfreude has never gotten this epic before.

The deal done at Chequers, ( aka Minority Tory Cabinet shenanigans), to arrive at a working consensus on the government's position at the EU Withdrawal Negotiations, so volubly heralded only a few days ago has imploded.

The Brexit Secretary David Davis and Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson became the first dual high level cabinet resignations since the Falklands Crisis hit the Thatcher regime back in 1982.

Naturally the snuffling,grunting swineherds of the corporate MSM and partisan social media have been all over this with their usual autistic responses and analyses.

But it is ,perhaps perversely,a real spectacle to behold. The very last bastion of Western European "democratic" two party-rule,the carefully maintained FPTP Lab./Con.duopoly heaving and breaking apart under its myriad incompatible,archaic idiosyncracies and inefficiencies.

The broad swathe of the european continent's political geography from France in the west across Holland,Germany,Austria,Czechia,Italy and up in Scandinavia has almost uniformly felt the burgeoning tsunami of anti-globalist,anti-EU driven Populism.

The European Union held a terribly important self-referential summit conference  the other week,where all sorts of hugely important and weighty matters were discussed and debated and..fudged.

Immigration,the UK leaving the EU negotiations,that kind of thing.All of it terribly important as was pointed out ad nauseam by EU Council President ( not the elected kind ) former Polish Shoe Salesman of the Year Donald Tusk.
Theresa May, genuflecting servile toady & former Anglican Tea Lady of the Year, reinforced the general consensus that space itself would be better utilised were she not in it.

To think that on Saturday June 23,some 100,000 Remoaner seditionist EU shills had flounced down Whitehall in support of the UK continuing its autistic relationship with the EU.Never had so many University lecturers,EU funded scientists,City shysters and practising vegan sodomites been assembled for a mass virtue signalling in public whilst exuding the unmistakable odour of insuperable middle class smugness and pomposity.

The EU leaders,who once upon a time would've managed to parlay the outcome of their summit into something superficially upbeat and reassuring,failed even that cursory test of political acumen.

The renewed conflagration of contending worldviews on how to deal with /manage the migrant /refugee imbroglio that's subsuming the European Union, gives unbounded hope to those forces and movements who are progressing and shall no doubt bring out, the EU Tyranny's eventual destruction.

February 28 has the EU's chief Brexit negotiator Barnier laying down the law to the Minority UK regime vis a vis the EU's stance on the conduct and preferred timetable for the remainder of the UK/EU Leave negotiations.

The pro- Minority regime press and media platforms cavil about the EU's supposed attempts at wishing to annex Northern Ireland and in doing so break apart the United Kingdom. Even the most jaundiced genuine brexiteer finds this accusation going a hyperbole too far.It's not 1938 and the Irish Border problematic isn't a re-run of the Sudetenland or Austria.

Had the then still majority UK Tory government gone ahead and triggered Article 50 as was anticipated within hours of the EU referendum result,then all this would be speculative persiflage instead of which we're now stuck in someone else's nightmare scenario for us.

The only rational course of action for this now Minority Regime would be to disengage from the EU's  Leave process and boldly go to full WTO rules.That noble if somewhat tenuous scenario is itself predicated on the purely hypothetical presumption that the minority government is itself committed to delivering Brexit.

It however isn't.

In the minority status or as a parliamentary majority it was in before May stuffed things up with a woefully imbecilic call for  a general election to reinforce her majority prior to the Leave process commencement.

It make me wonder whether the true intention was in fact to make Brexit even more unlikely with such a machiavellian coup-de-main.

Not that Labour are faring any better under the stresses and strains of assuaging its own  competing interests factions. Labour is home to MPs from the top ten constituencies that voted Leave as well as the top  ten constituencies that voted Remain. The Referendum on whether the UK would choose to Remain within or choose to Leave the European Union was ineluctably flawed from its inception. Parliament voted to undertake to accept and implement the referendum's verdict whichever way the vote went.Of course,why wouldn't they?

Its most egregious manifestation is in the manner it destroys a person's ability and capacity to remember. Paradoxically the disease wipes out memories of who a person talking to them is and the events of the previous day for example; but you might be able to recall perfectly an incident or event from decades ago as if it were current.

I only share this about Alzheimer's in order to get a handle on the not entirely dissimilar inability of the Labour Party to recall what earth shattering democratic event occurred on June 23 2016.

Dublin has applied to refinance an IMF loan, as well as two bilateral loans from Denmark and Sweden, using funds borrowed at lower rates from financial markets.

As Ireland has also borrowed €40.2 billion from two EU bailout facilities, all European Union states must agree to waive the right to get early repayment at the same time.

The Bundestag is one of a handful of European parliaments whose permission is required to change Ireland’s crisis-loan terms and allow early repayment. Elsewhere, the decision is made by government.

Acting finance minister Peter Altmaier told the German parliament that Ireland had fulfilled all conditions of its EU/IMF programme and was part of a rescue “success story” that included Spain and Portugal.

Ireland had restructured its banks and welfare system, won back trust of financial markets and was back in growth, he said, proving EU crisis measures had been appropriate.

Backing Dublin’s request and reducing the Irish debt burden, he said, would increase further market trust in “this small but important country”, and was thus in the interest of Irish and German taxpayers.

“I welcome today that I spoke with the Irish finance minister and he is ready to continue the technical co-operation and oversight with the IMF,” added Mr Altmaier. “This is in the interest of Ireland and will increase credibility in Irish politics.”

SPD parliamentary secretary Carsten Schneider attacked Ireland’s request, given its refusal to collect from Apple €13 billion in tax the European Commission says is outstanding.

“If a liberally minded country relinquishes tax revenues … then, for us in the SPD, our solidarity is at an end,” he said. “Tax dumping cannot be a business model in a social and progressive EU … it is poison for democracy.”

Mr Schneider suggested that Ireland had failed to honour two crisis-era promises to revisit its tax model and had “run the stop sign twice”.

Not everyone in Dr Merkel’s CDU had warm words for Ireland, with MP Hans Michelbach conceding that Ireland was a “tax haven and accessory for tax tricks of transnational concerns”.

“This is not acceptable,” he said. But, turning to Mr Schneider, he added: “You cannot use a mallet against another European country … and mix loan repayments with tax policy.”

The current UK withdrawal negotiations with the EU are predicated on three points being met before any negotiations on the future trading relations between the UK and EU can commence.

These three points relate to the status,( some might argue legally bogus in any event,but in the interests of brevity we'll let that pass for now,) of EU citizens sojourning in the UK; the status of the Irish border post-brexit and more substantially,the amount demanded by the EU as a " financial settlement " aka " Divorce Bill " in tabloid speak.

Tusk is to all intents and purposes a jumped up, strutting,venal,little tinpot fleamarket Pilsudski who has the audacity to be telling the UK what the EU expects from us!

And he's being allowed to get away with it pretty much in the same way as the EU as a whole has been getting away with it's treatment of and behaviour toward us for the past 45 years.

Tusk is President of what is officially designated the European Council.The European Council Presidency is one of five such presidencies within the EU. There is also President of the European Commission;currently held by a former wine salesman from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.Then there is the Presidency of the European Parliament that has a mafioso politician from Italy in its seat.Then there is the Presidency of the European Central Bank; run by another corrupt goombah,greaseball guinea. 

And finally there is the six-monthly rotating EU Presidency that allows peripheral Teutonic satrapies such as Croatia and Latvia to wallow in the delusion that their homeland actually counts for a little more than nothing in the vast EU scheme of things.

We know this to be the case as the Corporate MSM is currently reporting on the prevailing status of Brexit negotiations.
The term " negotiations " is purely an arbitrary one that's used for ease of reference. Imbroglio is nearer the mark.
Various pro and anti - brexit factional interests are in the throes of vying over the putative content of the much vaunted " deal " that might or might not be struck between the UK and the 27  remaining satrapies governing the former's exit from the EU.
And yet, despite the EU's very best propagandistic endeavours and the hundreds of millions spent on multimedia platform campaigns to persuade the British people otherwise, Brexit remains intact and the UK's impending departure from satrapydom is secure for the end of March 2019.
It is that straightforward. The Labour sponsored front organisation " The 3 Million " can whine and stamp its tiny feet and repeatedly chuck its toys from the pram as much it wants; nothing alters. We are leaving.
The Maastricht Treaty 1992 -which was never approved by the UK electorate- created the egregious legal fiction of " Citizen of the EU ". Just how you can be a citizen of a non-nation is itself a bizarre a notion as the human intellect could ever possibly have to deal with.

A year ago on this day I published my blogpost on the then current state of play of #brexit. Worth recalling. As you will read,the metropolitan neoliberal elites and their political henchmen and footpads have in effect managed to take us all back in time to before a vote was cast in the EU Referendum.

" When it comes to sheer brass-necked impudence, the 200+ Labour Party parliamentary benchwarmers that constitute the official #LabourIn campaign, take first prize.

Unmitigated Petainist trash that they are,they had and still have, as their sole political objective the continued subjugation of the British people to the diktats and tyranny of the European Union.

At the time of posting, there are still quite significant legal challenges to the Referendum result in the offing.

And given what seems to be a significant highly motivated anti-democratic upper middle class and academically elitist bias in the ranks of the #Remain zealots' camp,no doubt we can expect further inordinately complex tactics and strategies to be launched by them against the implementation of the Will of the Sovereign British Electorate.

Labour needs to stop “sulking” about the EU referendum result and vow to end freedom of movement, one of the party’s northern heartland MPs has warned.
Jonathan Reynolds, who has represented the Greater Manchester seat of Stalybridge and Hyde since 2010, believes keeping the EU’s free movement rules in exchange for Single Market membership would be “unacceptable” to millions of Labour voters.
The Remain-campaigning Reynolds told HuffPost UK that people’s “genuine emotional concerns” about uncontrolled immigration cannot be dealt with just by pointing to reports and statistics which talk up the economic benefit of freedom of movement.
In a dig at colleagues such as Chuka Umunna who are calling for the Government to try and negotiate a compromise over freedom of movement in a Brexit deal, Reynolds said a “tweak” to the status quo “would not wash with people.”

The headline MSM news across the UK on June 29 was that :-

Retired Court of Appeal judge Sir Martin Moore-Bick has been chosen to lead the public inquiry into the Grenfell Tower fire, the PM has said.

Sir Martin said he understood the "desire of local people for justice", while Theresa May said "no stone will be left unturned" during the inquiry.

And as a disingenuous footnote the BBC website added :-
Grenfell resident Oluwaseun Talabi said victims were unhappy at not being involved in Sir Martin's appointment.

The  BBC's disingenuous footnote is indicative of the hastily contrived populist campaign of agitation instigated by Labour to run and manage the aftermath of the Grenfell Tower Disaster. Leading metropolitan elitist Labour figures,such as Mayor Sadiq Khan and MP for Tottenham David Lammy, have positioned themselves  at the forefront of hurling a plethora of unsubstantiated allegations and innuendo both at the government and Kensington council. Corbyn's demagogue-manque histrionics at the previous PMQs was an  exemplary exercise in absurdist performance art. " Austerity " he pronounced, in essence was singularly to blame and was the raison d'etre for the Disaster itself. He asserted that had successive Tory governments not carried out massive public sector funding cuts then Grenfell would never have happened. This otiose cant had itself been articulated a few days earlier by Comrade McDonnell who claimed, without any recourse to reason,logic or empirical proof, that the victims of Grenfell had been murdered no less,by political decisions. Widespread bureaucratic hysteria seems to be the default response of local authorities as well as various departments within government and the civil service here in the UK,irrespective of the nature and extent of the particular  " disaster " at the time.It was ever thus.  Instructed by the Prime Minister to send samples of cladding on all tower blocks for forensic examination without delay, most local Councils failed spectacularly to even comply with this simple advice. Some Councils,notably the Labour run authority of Camden hastily evacuated four tower blocks and encountered grassroots reluctance and a measure of disobedience from hundreds of their tenants. Within hours of hitting the panic button,Camden Council had to admit that their initial safety audit of the said tower blocks revealed a monumental scandal of 1,000 fire safety doors gone missing. Naturally,Corbyn and his ideologically ill assorted  Labour confreres failed to attribute any institutional malevolence to this. And lest the entire MSM narrative becomes a work of meta fiction,the Prime Minister reminded the House of Commons that the legal requirement for Local Fire authority inspections of tower blocks was abolished  under the Blair government in 2005. Again another matter of fact that Corbyn and the other assailants against reason and common sense chose to let slip by.

So why weren't  " victims " of the Grenfell disaster not involved in the appointment of the Inquiry's chairman? Because all such appointments are always made by the Lord Chancellor. there we go with the facts ,again.

Quite how enhanced state security spying on law abiding citizens and restrictions on our freedom of speech is meant to affect the like of ISIS is utterly incomprehensible.The most sacred and invaluable legal principle upon which all our Laws hinge is that of Habeas Corpus . Once that goes,we have fully entered into the alien realm of capricious despotism from which, as other nations have until recently experienced, it would be almost impossible to extricate ourselves from. Perhaps the brazen and illiberal declarations of our impudent politicians, who incapable of defeating those such as ISIS,seek only to be seen doing something might wish to bear in mind this piece of good news from the US -
