Even as 2016 was drawing to its conclusion, there was one final footnote to be added to it by of all people, the outgoing president of the USA.In the wake of the joint announcement by the governments of Russia and Turkey on their joint initiative to bring about a cessation of hostilities in the Syrian crisis /civil war, Obama's response is to expel 35 Russian diplomats from the USA on the charge of involvement in cyberhacking. That's it.How utterly bizarre; probably more bizarre that Secretary of State Kerry's denunciation of Israel which made the headlines just the other day.  On the allegations of Russian involvement in the hacking of Clinton's emails and other parts of the Democratic Party's failed presidential campaign, the response of Russia's President Putin has been steadfastly rational and measured; there will be no anticipated tit for tat expulsions of US diplomats from Russia. Sidelined in Syria, made to look amateurish by Clinton's own ludicrously hostile anti Russian rhetoric in her failed White House bid and now a grandiose Cold war style diplomatic slap across another Country's face which yields precisely zilch by return. America isn't well is she? NATO has lost its venal strutting posture and the EU is sinking slowly slowly beneath the waves of history. I don't think the Yanks get Schadenfreude.If they did they'd be really upset.

An astonishing and breathtaking Victory for the Leave Campaign in the June 23rd EU Referendum followed by Trump's triumph over the neocon bete-noire and professional warmongering harridan Clinton. The city of Aleppo's liberation by the forces of the legitimate Syrian government with strong support from its allies,Russia and Iran provides a fitting cadenza to 2016. Yesterday, Monday 19th December the Russian ambassador to Turkey,Andrei Karlov was gunned down whilst attending a gallery viewing. The murderer,a serving Turkish police officer was himself despatched in the immediate aftermath. Then almost as a kind of corollary to the slaying of the Russian diplomat, hours later in Berlin, a traditional and well attended Christmas market was subjected to an islamic terrorist atrocity where a  hijacked goods lorry was used as the weapon.The death toll was at least 12 with scores more injured. The term Casus belli  springs immediately to mind ; the term refers to an incident or an act of provocation which the offended side uses subsequently to undertake military action usually with a formal decleration of war against the perceived offending party. Killing ambassadors counts as  Casus belli.  As you can, but need not overly, imagine, MSM as well as social media went into hyperdrive at the conjunction of these two separate acts of terrorism. The proverbial button really got pushed this time around. Fortunately, Presidents Putin and Erdogan are both committed to playing the long game diplomatically and strategically. And that's more than the world can expect from the stupid Yanks however.You can imagine it being the US ambassador getting gunned down ; Washington DC would've ordered massive instant retaliation, probably aimed at the entirely wrong target in Afghanistan as a result. Schools are struggling to cope with an influx of Roma children from Eastern Europe who arrive unable to speak English, Ofsted warned yesterday.

Inspectors said schools were hampered by a lack of resources to meet the ‘wide-ranging needs’ of new arrivals who may never have experienced formal education.

They said some pupils were unfamiliar with school routines and behaviour expectations. Many also needed intensive help to learn English but schools were struggling to find enough bilingual staff to teach them.

Deja Vu has seldom been so much in evidence in the Commons.They debated Aleppo fairly recently and the same faux-concerns of our metropolitan-domiciled political class were thoroughly rehearsed for the cameras. An odd symmetry of Tories clinging onto the last vestiges of a grasp of global Realpolitik on the one hand waylayed by the strident / bellicose utterances of born-again Blairites whose lack of practical military /logistics knowledge was woefully in evidence. Clowns in Chief Johnson and Osborne did some desultory limp moral shroud waving by asserting that had parliament in 2013 opted for a military intervention of some kind or another at that time, Aleppo would not now be an issue. Don't ask; it wasn't supposed to make any sense whatsoever even at the time. Unless, of course the real intent behind all and any calls for any intervention in the Syrian Civil War is to goad Russia into a premature globalised conflict aka WW3. Surely not?

Elections, referendums* (* referenda is the correct Latin plural,but we're not in Ancient Rome ) here there and every bleedin' where. The thing with Democracy is that you can never have too much of it. Back in the 1640's the Levellers- the radical wing of the Parliamentary forces- were calling for annual parliaments for heaven's sake.Four Centuries on and we still haven't got there.  The current fashionable theory amongst left-liberal inclined intellectuals-manque is that in the event of any election/referendum result going against their expected and hoped for outcome,then the default explanation of any such unlikely occurrence is that those who contributed to the actual verdict were somehow misled,misinformed,mistaken and misjudged,miscalculated the consequences of them individually and collectively casting their votes in the way that they did; i.e. against the explicit,considered,expert and wise advice of the commentariat/academics,experts and men of vast experience who truly understood the issues being voted upon. My, that was a bit long winded - but I went for it anyway. Today happens to be Saturday, 3rd December and the metropolitan-domiciled elites' ideological war drums are already beating all across MSM. Tomorrow,Sunday 4th December there is to be a plebiscite in Italy regarding proposals from the incumbent Premier,Renzi on the streamlining of Italy's constitution, which he amongst others feels is too cumbersome and no longer fit for contemporary purpose. Across the border over in Austria, due to a preceding procedural cock-up, there is the re-run of what had been an excruciatingly closely run Presidential contest between the Green Party's Van Der Bellen and the Freedom Party's Hofer. the likeliest of outcomes in both referendum and presidential Election will not be to the liking of the elites and their shills in the political classes in western europe. A couple of days ago,worldwide mainstream media platforms were alive with the " news " that the European Union's " Parliament "  called for the suspension of EU membership talks with Turkey. 479 in favor, 37 against, 107 abstentions. Scary.

The parliament is the most moribund and redundant of all the multi-headed EU Hydra's appendages.  The Hydra that constitutes that monumental obscenity of international politics, the European Union. Kleptocracy, nepotism,corruption and incompetence are its true four fundamental characteristics. Quite what business its dysfunctional castrato chamber of deputies manque has in censuring the sovereign,democratic nation state of Turkey - or anywhere else for that matter - is beyond the intellectual capacity of most sentient and rational beings on this planet to comprehend. EP ( european parliament ) has pretensions way beyond its capacities ever to realise them.It may as a body, scrutinise and debate and recommend but it does so void of any institutional power and authority. The one thing EP does do with remarkable alacrity, devoid of any grasp or understanding of global Realpolitik, is pass Motions declaring this,that and t'other. The failing,western pluralist democratic consensus around neoliberalism, neoCon military intervention and dishing out economic sanctions is at the very heart of EP. It is a truism to assert that those born into Britain ( its complex historically determined society and polity, ) are nowadays unable to appreciate let alone make any sense of being here. The old adage , that it is wise when in Rome to do as the Romans do , has alas gone for the proverbial ” Burton ” ,which given the paucity of recall of once popular socio-cultural references ,means bugger all I suppose.  We are a nation ,society and polity mired in hypocrisy ;Conservatives who since the turn of the Second World War are intrinsically no longer propagating the conservation of anything and Socialists who equally have long ago abjured any serious intent to socialise anything and the bloody liberals who actually were never libertarian but have willingly played second fiddle to whoever of the other two  doesn’t  do any of the aforementioned. Organised and ideologically driven antidemocratic seditionists are behaving in a consistent, co-ordinated fashion on both sides of the Atlantic when it comes to de-legitimising and seeking to overturn the results of the EU Referendum and the Presidential Elections respectively. For example, the content and tone of the language they both utilise in their vituperative hyperbole in slandering and defaming all those who voted for the winning argument in the EU Referendum and those who voted for the winning candidate in the Presidential Election, could not be more apparent. The self-referencing  " 48% " of the Remain campaign wish simply to have the Referendum result annulled by any means whatsoever. In the USA, the Democratic Party wants likewise the Election of Donald Trump annulled by any means whatsoever.  It is worth taking note of the constitutional complexities in the US as distinct from the less than iron clad constitutional arrangements for plebiscites in the UK.

The " argument " as specious and dissembling as the day is long, is predicated on the notion of  "The popular vote ". The Democratic Party's ideological reference point is the strongly contested outcome of the Presidential Election of 2000 AD. The Electoral college was in effect deadlocked and Al Gore had polled more aggregated votes than G.W.Bush at the ballot box. It appears that Clinton has done likewise vis a vis Trump at the " ballot box ", whereas unlike Bush, Trump got a comfortable majority over Clinton in the Electoral College.

Logically and rationally there ought not to be the slightest basis for any kind of quasi-judicial or administrative challenge to or doubt cast upon the result. Donald Trump will be the next president of the USA. But reason and logic only serve as a basis for democratic politics just as long as the ideologues of globalism & PC multiculturalism deem it necessary and convenient. And in the UK and USA and indeed in many other " advanced western democracies ", the metropolitan domiciled globalist elites no longer find the verdict of sovereign democratic electorates either convenient nor legitimate.

The formerly prevailing notions of " Left " and " Right " were long ago made redundant, primarily by the cessation of the non- " Cold War " and the consequent dissolution of the USSR and other post WW2 socialist states. The real dichotomy that is now the dynamic engine of ideological discourse and popular political disputation revolves around the Sovereign Nation State v. Globalisation and its discredited corollary, multiculturalism and diversity. The historic triumph of #Brexit is the the most immediate and starkest expression of this existential struggle. The defeat and long overdue demise of that harridan Clinton replicated to a large degree what #Brexit first realised, the practical re-ordering of political allegiances and tribal loyalties.

The 48% ( for ease of reference ), that voted Remain on June 23rd. in the EU Referendum,have actively propagated the idea that those of the 52% who voted Leave are largely stupid,ignorant,uneducated,provincial ( almost exclusively Northern ) homophobic, islamophobic, racist, xenophobes. I'm only too happy to be identified as embodying all of those traits if, in the interests of balance and fairness, the 200 MPs of #LabourIn and their Remain Axis partners are equally happy to be pilloried for being the mendacious,antidemocratic,pro-sodomite,unborn child murdering,seditionist garbage that they in fact are. Which all in all doesn't get any of us anywhere. Then again it is the calculated intention of the #LabourIn Eurozealots to systematically de-legitimise, undermine and eventually overturn the verdict given by the Electorate on 23 June.  The Referendum was conducted at the behest of Parliament as a UK wide vote.The UK is a single,united political entity. No-one has ever argued that, for instance the losing parties in a UK General election call for the Secession of those constituencies which voted for them or that the consequences of the other party gaining a majority are to be ignored in all matters pertaining to their own constituencies or that even the result itself wasn't legitimate and therefore another corrective general Election had to be called immediately. And yet this is precisely what the " 48% " antidemocratic rabble have done and are continuing to do at every opportunity on every conceivable issue. The fantastically deluded SNP -led regional administration in Edinburgh has gone all out secessionist and has even tried and serially failed to engage with sovereign EU states in intergovernmental negotitations and have themselves sought for international diplomatic recognition. A Presidential election is held in line with the nation's Constitution and a verdict is delivered by the Electorate in accordance with the provisions of electoral rules. So, what do " activists ", ideological agitators and hostile media commentators ( all who supported the losing candidate ) do in response ? Organise street protests that escalate into full blown rioting. Oh, and this from the likes of Daily Kos on social media :-

" Donald Trump has won the presidency after narrowly carrying a few states to put him above 270 electoral votes.

But according to the latest numbers, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote. The game is rigged.

In other words, we have a similar situation as in 2000—where the candidate who more voters picked did not become president. It is unfair, undemocratic & we must eliminate the Electoral College.

The similarities between the events across many cities in the USA and the reactions in the UK to the EU Referendum verdict in favour of #Brexit are all too striking. On Thursday 23rd. June I went to bed fully persuaded that,much as I wanted it to, #Brexit wasn't going to happen and that on waking up on the morning of Friday 24th. I'd be assailed by the smug triumphalist tones of Remainers on Radio 4. Waking much earlier than usual,I turned the radio on and.. History had happened.  Pretty much the same routine occurred last night. I woke up around 02:00 GMT Wednesday 9th. November was dawning with self-confident,self-satisfied Democrat Party notables and appartchiks foretelling the inevitability of a Clinton coronation. Getting back to sleep with an oh well,never mind,World War 3's on its way then, I looked forward to carrying on with the quotidian when I got up nearer my regular time. And then, History happened,again.  June 24 gave me an epiphany and that was repeated around 06.30 this very morning. The US establishment elites and the incumbent political class and the Commentariat and all the experts just got hammered into the ground,again just as their counterparts were on June 23 in Great Britain. Joy unspeakable, or nearly so! Not that our indigenous antidemocratic,anti working class seditionist law breaking scum such as #LabourIn and their Remain Axis partners wasted any time at all on BBC Radio 4 in slandering and heaping opprobrium onto the newly elected President Trump and all those who voted for him. Imagine,if you will that we're in that period of History commonly referred to as the English Civil War.Or maybe we could rewind to a century or so earlier to Henry VIII's Reformation. All things can be viewed and misinterpreted by the application of hindsight, but you get the feeling that they used to be a great deal less squeamish about calling a spade a spade. The lower-middle class aspiring conformist version of what passes for contemporary popular political discourse is so trite as to be anodyne. Even when it momentarily aspires to hyperbole as with the Daily Mail . #Brexit has gone the way it was always going to go.Into the Courts, mired in pretentious legalism and subject to the attenuated pontifications of the metropolitan elite dressed in their gowns. The UK electorate's verdict of 23 June and Her Majesty's Government's duty to carry out that decision remain unchanged. The Daily Telegraph of 4 November reports on the government's appeal to the Supreme Court challenging the high Court's ruling of November 3.

The full Supreme Court – comprising 11 judges – will hear the case, reportedly on December 7, for the first time in his (sic) history.

October 28,2016; it's 128 days since the EU Referendum. The putative war crimes suspect Blair appeared on BBC Radio 4's flagship breakfast news programme, " Today  " at just after 8 a.m. And the Merde has been raining down ever since across all media platforms.  The defeated Remain campaign has gone into full zombie mode; the campaign lost,was beaten, got less votes than the opposing campaign etc.etc. The trouble is, thanks to 200+ unreconstructed #LabourIn MPs who were the beating heart that gave actual life to Remain, those 200 won't lie down. And now Blair has decided to join in the contrived mayhem and faux-debate over the triggering of Article 50 and commencement of #Brexit.

Blair does certainly know all about playing with fire.And he couldn't care less about who it is that gets incinerated. The perversity emerging out this imbroglio for  #Labour is particularly ironic. Since it is above all the pronounced anti-blairites who have been carrying out and promoting his views on the  #EU more so than the MPs who claim to be Blair's acolytes. Either way, Labour as a Party deserves to burn for all of this; Left,right and centre. #Brexit has created the opening for such a historic event to take place. The law should not compel businesses to aid political messages

On October 24 ,2016, the Appeal Court in Belfast  ruled that a local Christian-run business, Ashers Bakery, was wrong to refuse to decorate a cake with a pro-gay marriage message.Human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell said :-

“This verdict is a defeat for freedom of expression. As well as meaning that Ashers can be legally forced to aid the promotion of same-sex marriage,It seems that businesses cannot now lawfully refuse a customer’s request to propagate a message,even if the business has a conscientious objection to it." Tatchell concluded,“Although I strongly disagree with Ashers opposition to marriage equality, in a free society neither they nor anyone else should be compelled to facilitate a political idea that they oppose."

The Appeal Court ruling shows the extent of anti-Christian sentiment in our Society and just how far the bedrock of Western civilisation has been marginalised over the decades by a relentless campaign of institutionalised political vilification and slander. This does not bode well for the future. The sound we can all hear is that of the metropolitan elitist jackboots trampling down our historic liberty.

A lot of people, especially the rabble of benchwarmers of all parties in the House of Commons chamber,have been getting rather upset these last few days about yet another issue they can do nothing about other than have a collective pseudo-moral hissy fit over.  To put the aforementioned's hissy fit in context; The US and its NATO satrapies have, one recalls this past quarter century, pretty much screwed things up royally in a whole host of formerly stable, sovereign nation states. Iraq,Yugoslavia, Afghanistan,Iraq a second time,Libya and Syria. I exclude the Ukraine from this inglorious litany for the simple reason that NATO hasn't actually bombed anyone or anything as yet in that particular theatre of operations. Back to Syria. Said H.o.C. benchwarmers in August 29.2013 REJECTED a government motion that Parliament authorise UK military intervention in Syria in response to the alleged use by the Syrian government of chemical weapons against civilians. Fast forward to December 2 2015 and this time said H.o.C. AUTHORISED UK military airstrikes in Syria directed exclusively against ISIS/DAESH. As the former Head of MI6 observed whilst appearing of BBC Radio4's " Today " program, you can't really fight against both sides at once in a conflict. He ought to have added especially in a three plus sided conflict at that. The much vaunted and lauded sanctioned airstrikes in 2015, with the involvement of 2 planes and no actual effective strikes have been just a waste of effort. All the planning and conspiratorial shenanigans of the EU and NATO in their various forums trying to cajole the myriad hornets' nests of " moderate " i.e. non-ISIS opposition forces in Syria including Al Qaeda to evolve into something that can be financed and supplied with weapons-that too hasn't really worked for the US and its grandiose designs on a post-Assad Syria. And so we come to the five years long siege of Aleppo. Only this time, the faux wrath and ire of the H.o.C. benchwarmers is directed at Russia because it has been lending military assistance to the constitutional government of Syria.  How odd it appears that in International Law, let alone accepted norms of global diplomacy and peacetime relationships between Sovereign states,that the parliamentary body of one state whose armed forces are operating in and across Syria openly and covertly WITHOUT the permission of Damascus, denounces the actions of another state who ARE operating  in Syria WITH the permission of Damascus. Odder still, that the legally legitimate actions of Russia in conjunction with Syria are deemed to constitute a war crime comparable with Nazi Germany's use of the Luftwaffe in Civil War Spain of the 1930's.  Such is the destitution of learning and paucity of historic fact checking within the House of Commons that they are ignorant of when the term War Crimes actually entered the lexicon. Germany's intervention in 1930's Spain was never characterised by contemporary sources as a " war crime ". Whilst at the time Britain and France observed a strict neutrality that included a refusal to render any assistance whatsoever to the besieged, legitimate Republican Spanish government. Foreign Secretary Johnson's wantonly provocative call for demonstrations in front of the Russian Embassy in London are the classic tale told by an idiot full of sound and fury, signifying nothing; as for Johnson himself, he is a poor player who struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more..

Quite a lot of people, predominantly in academia and amongst the media Commentariat have been terribly upset recently by a thoroughly sound and common sense suggestion made by HMG's Home Secretary during the Tory party conference. Companies ought to publish data on the numbers of non-British workers in their employ.There was,headlined  in the relentless  24/7 media  environment a report of compulsion,which added a certain frisson to the original idea as floated. The egotistical rabble of Metropolitan domiciled,hard core eurozealots went into their customary righteous meltdown over a subject and an issue they have no real life,lived experience of nor even some remote understanding and empathy with. At present the previous non-announcement has been clarified; Companies won't have to make available any data on the composition of nationalities on their books. There, happy? well the antidemocratic,Seditionists of the eurozealot,anti-British, Remain campaign are not in business to seek contentment - all they want is to maintain unrestricted competition in the national labour market and to perpetuate falling wage levels and the marginalisation of British workers. Nominally UK based Job Agencies and their booming Zero Hours contracts goldrush can only become ever more rapaciously profitable if there is an endless supply of migrant labour as at present. There are of course, an infinite number of possibilities in any set of negotiations but usually the protagonists tend to stick to what they see as a handful of manageable options. How's this for one; which I originally emailed to my local/regional newspapers early in September :-

" A strong negotiating position would be that only citizens of EU member states prior to January 2004 ,might be eligible to apply for extended residency permits.This measure would provide a substantial corrective to the indiscriminate and unprecedented imbalances and disadvantages foisted on the UK  who in 1975 only previously consented to be part of a 6 member states group and nothing more."...

As any experienced competent negotiator knows, the process of negotiating tends to resemble a game of Poker.Bluff ,counter bluff and raising the stakes are intrinsic to the process itself. How skilled any side is, determines the likelihood of them getting most of what they want

A grasp of these rudimentary principles seem to be eluding our government as they near the time for invoking Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty and so begin the  process of " Brexit "from the EU. Apart from the disillusioned euro-fanatics of the defeated Remain campaign, the consensus is that we want to maximise the advantages and benefits for the UK predicated on what are basic objectives - reasserting our sovereign control of our borders which entails ending the EU imposed diktat of free movement of labour. 

it does not bode well that,even before substantive talks begin, our future negotiating position is compromised by specious and ill formed public concessions to the defeatist agenda of the likes of LabourIn,most of whose 200 MPs are wildly out of step with their own constituents. Brexit need not be a long complicated process,nor does it have to be dragged out over the prescribed two years. It is axiomatic that in any given negotiation the side that is most determined wins. 

Rather than capitulate before  a card is dealt, let's declare a moratorium on  the moribund and no longer fit for purpose freedom of movement for labour. Slowly but surely the screw is being turned against those forces opposed to the implementation of #Brexit. Prime Minister May's Tory Conference speech could not have been any more forthright and unequivocal on the matter. The Labour Party however, even with Corbyn putatively in charge, has in fact adopted the previous #LabourIn EU Referendum campaigning position of rejecting #Brexit and that has been made abundantly clear from Corbyn's own utterances on the pressing issue of continued unrestricted competition in the national labour market. As on all contentious issues and in all forms of political struggle,the essential principles of one 's arguments need to be restated as often as time and opportunity allows. They can think beyond the day-to-day struggle to survive. The “freedom” of movement of labour is double-edged: not only does it put pressure on wages, working conditions and social services of the countries receiving the immigrant labour, it also hollows out the countries the immigrant labour left, draining them of their major asset – the working population.

You need only read the Polish Government's official data on their unemployment rates.In 2003, the year before Poland's accession to the EU,official unemployment stood at a little over 20%. In 2015 it stood at a little over 8%..The EU's " freedom of movement " is a gigantic exercise in rearranging deckchairs on the Titanic. Current aggregated official unemployment across all 28 member states stands at over 30 millions.

Re-asserting national sovereignty and  putting the British people to the front of the queue of the political agenda isn't a Brexit option,it is an absolute necessity.

The Prime Minister of Hungary, Mr.Viktor Orban was castigated recently in the columns of The Spectator magazine for expressing " illiberal " views on the Migrants/Refugees imbrogolio. The adage " The pot calling the kettle black ", springs to mind as particularly apposite in this instance of a factional British Tory mouthpiece whose own governments have been singularly complicit in the entire farrago of unrestricted EU-wide migration. It is ever the first contentious argument to hand of the liberal/socialist/multiculturalist acolytes that whenever a result of any plebiscite goes against their own peculiar set of ideological prejudices, the said plebiscite is somehow invalidated by such a contrarian outcome. How odd that in 21st.Century Britain the tone of public discourse might yet be influenced by the utterances of a Cleric. At a gathering at the publicly funded Henley Lit.Fest which caters exclusively for a metroploitan-domiciled,elitist clientele, John Sentamu, the Anglican Archbishop of York, added his two pen'orth to the conflated, emotionally skewed and highly polemicised debate on the  Refugees / Migrants problematic which has beset the EU as well as the UK. Sentamu observed that :-

"Those Schengen countries ought to resolve the problem that belongs there because they have entered Europe because of free movement.

"Every nation is shunting them and shunting them and shunting them in the hope that they will end up in the UK.

"I just hope that the Schengen countries can resolve it because it is their free movement of people. Britain did not sign the Schengen agreement."

Which actually sharpens the focus on the issue which heretofore has been allowed to drift by, in particular the befuddled multi-culti acolytes of the Labour Right and the Labour Left.  The internationally accepted protocols relating to persons seeking refugee status is that they do so in the nearest safest country to wherever it is they are fleeing from. It is entirely rational and practical that they have,traditionally done so in the past and that sovereign governments not party to the origins of the causes of persons becoming refugees, deal with them under the auspices of those accepted protocols. Then we get serial breakers of international conventions and long accepted practices such as the Republic of France, whose political class and leaderships have always behaved and acted without scruples in any and all matters not to the immediate advantage or benefit to France. The soon to be voted from Office, President Hollande had the temerity to visit recently  the makeshift refugee encampments around Calais and inveigh against the British Government for not dealing with the intractable crisis! And so it goes.  The political melange of europhile fifth columnists will continue to undermine any and all endeavours of the Forces for Progress' attempts to re-establish national sovereignty and with it the proper,rigorous control of UK borders. The self same antidemocratic, seditionist  europhile alliance is already working flat out to derail the EU Referendum result; That too will not end well.

When erudition no longer avails one has to resort to using facts.  On Friday June 24th.2016,Independence Day dawned for the People of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Revise estimates of Leave vote share in Westminster constituencies

Shortly after the referendum I published estimates of the share of the vote won by Leave in parliamentary constituencies in England and Wales. These estimates showed that most parliamentary constituencies in England and Wales had voted to Leave (421 of 574 if you're counting), and that most Labour-held seats had also voted to Leave.The difference between the two estimates are slight. 32 constituencies were formerly estimated to have voted Leave, but are now estimated to have voted Remain; 11 went the other way. This means a net change of +21 for Remain in England and Wales. Including Scotland, this means that 401 of 632 constituencies (63%) are now judged to have voted for Leave.

Hanretty estimated that 7 out of 10 Labour held parliamentary constituencies voted for Leave.

Some more facts:- Of the present 230 Labour Members of Parliament, only 10 openly declared themselves for the Leave campaign and as such formed the #LabourLeave campaign ; their 220 " comrades " organised #LabourIn.

Final fact:- The 2016 Labour Party National Conference " voted " not to debate Brexit.
