BBC Radio4's To-day program has become the public-Confessional for members of the previous newlabour tyranny. This a.m,April 27th. it was Kim Howells' turn to launch into Mea Culpa,Mea Maxima Culpa. He went at it like a penitent before the Inquisition.According to Howells, the newlabour regime had got "it" wrong on the growth and development of home-grown Islamic Terrorism/extremism.Political Correctness, had by his own craven admission ,"caused" newlabour and the political establishment and the Media and the Security Services ,caused ALL of them to hesitate and defer and ultimately fail to make decisions on taking action against said Islamic terrorists/extremists.The heinous, murderous onslaught of 7/7(2005) though, helped the authorities, government etc.overcome such reluctance to act."Irony"doesn't quite cover the impression given by Howells' admission of guilt.

Full of sound and fury..the insufferable and seemingly endless repetitive posturing by "statesmen" and "diplomats" in the West has achieved nothing other than an accentuation of the hostilities within Libya and other countries of the region, notably Syria. To claim otherwise is to contradict present and countinuing Realpolitik.Complexities and nuanced diplomacy are not the decadent West's strong suit.Having given up on "Empire",they don't seem to be doing all that well with the maintenance let alone the imposition of Hegemony. They are a Pride of Lions with not only an aversion to feeding on meat;but also to doing any of the requsite hunting and killing. And the Laws of The Jungle don't allow for that.

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. When Wakefield District Housing,(Britain's 5th.largets company of its type)decided that they wanted to get rid of a Christian employee of theirs they had, unbeknown to them at the time, set in train a chain of events that would have entirely the opposite outcome to the one Senior Management had planned or wished for.Persecuting anyone for the heinous crime of displaying their particular Faith in Public ,is all a bit sad and pathetic and smells of the Medieval mindset that it comes from.Tragic as that would be,the worst of it is,that this is a 21st.Century,contemporary Public-sector mindset that has set out on the Road to its own inevitable Perdition.Someone, somewhere,a long long tome ago said that we ought not to mock the afflicted. In WDH's case,it's obligatory.
