Their,now soon to be, predecessor gave her valedictory interview in which she confirmed everything that anyone with even half a grasp of Realpolitik already knew.She really is a politically inept,spineless, wheedling caricature of a petty bourgeois waste of space.
And meanwhile the Fenian statelet run from Dublin was coming face to face with its own revelation of a Realpolitik moment.That moment when an insignificant failed nation state realises its own utter insignificance in the larger world of politics and international diplomacy.
Having spent decades kowtowing and generally sucking up to the German / French EU hegemons -allowing Ireland's naively conceived sovereignty to be pimped out by the Berlin -Paris Axis for the sake of Euro fiscal discipline ,having only done so on the understanding of being treated favourably in the future;the 1 euro-shop De Valera Fenians wake up to the ineluctable reality of getting thrown under the proverbial bus of what is the EU -Mrecosur free trade deal.
So much for having acted the willing ( if overly venal posturing martinet whilst doing so) shill for Germany in its calculated strategy of crippling the UK's departure from the EU by creating out of thin air the imbroglio of a " backstop " for a farm track border non-issue bereft of any actual material or other importance other than to Republican tobacco,alcohol and red diesel smugglers.

Tories decide to add a commitment to holding an " In-Out" referendum on EU membership to their manifesto for GE2015. They do it,in what their leadership assumes is a countervailing and pre-emptive manouevre to stop further votes being lost to UKIP.
Against the odds,Cameron leads his Party to an outright victory with a 20-odd seats overall majority.
Parliament approves with virtually no dissenting votes against that a binding In-Out referendum will be held on June 23 2016.
As polling booths closed on June 22,leading bookmakers were quoting that the Remain campaign is 9 to 1 on, to win.In lay man's terms that means in order to win £1 you'd have to place a bet of £9.That's the racingiest certainty of all time.
Except that the bookies' and the metropolitan elites' and political establishment's favourite came in second.
2 years of unabated Sturm und drang ensued.
During which time Cameron & Osborne jumped ship asap after the Leave victory and Theresa May - Anglican Tea Lady of the Year became Tory leader and with it PM after having campaigned for Remain.
By 2017 she'd become more confused than usual and in a prolonged fit of political hubris called for and engineered a General election which the opposition parties generously helped her to do.A 20-odd seats overall majority got blown out of the water,but as still the largest party, the Tories cut a deal with the DUP to allow them to govern.So instead of gaining a surer grip on the brexit negotiations with a larger Tory overall majority who she could command at will, May the supreme anti-strategist ended up with no majority and her premiership and dreams of grandeur on life support with the switch firmly in the grasp of a fiercely pro-brexit DUP.

As for the contrived hysteria and virtue signalling over the Irish border and all the quasi-theological cant over a backstop and the Good Friday Agreement,blah,blah,blah remember this; the ratbag Fenian regime residing in Dublin has to have its national budget approved by a committee of the German Bundestag before it,the ragbag regime in Dublin is even allowed to spend any of its own pocket money.

The Anglophobic,or should we say anti-British sentiment that has suffused Irish political and cultural discourse since time immemorial has attained its zenith.
The Fenian Kneecappers and Bombers and their misbegotten offspring have ascended their very own allegorical Calvary and are awaiting their own imminent resurrection as foretold in the annals of terrorism and bloodshed.
That quintessentially obtuse and arcane shibboleth known as " The Irish Border Question " has been parlayed into the defining problematic on which the UK's brexit from the EU is now ordained to founder catastrophically.

Amazingly shortly thereafter, the EU's puppet regime in Dublin commenced to orchestrate with commendable alacrity its very own Greek Chorus on the UK's admittedly,feeble,procrastinating attempt at negotiating what is termed Brexit from the EU.

Alzheimer's is a truly terrifying disease.
Its most egregious manifestation is in the manner it destroys a person's ability and capacity to remember. Paradoxically the disease wipes out memories of who a person talking to them is and the events of the previous day for example; but you might be able to recall perfectly an incident or event from decades ago as if it were current.
I only share this about Alzheimer's in order to get a handle on the not entirely dissimilar inability of the Labour Party to recall what earth shattering democratic event occurred on June 23 2016.
Though leading seditionist Labour antidemocratic hellions such as Starmer,Umunna,Corbett, Lammy,Creagh etc. all fail to recognise and acknowledge as equals those who they routinely verbally abuse when disparaging the 17.4 million fellow UK citizens who as the majority,voted for #brexit.

Perhaps in Keir Starmer's idiolect his painfully Humpty-Dumpty style usage of otiose terms such single-market,customs union,freedom of movement have some special nostalgic significance attached to the chimera of a world that ceased to exist for him on June 23 2016.
It's either that or he's just one of many thoroughly malevolent,cynically manipulative,disingenuous metropolitan elitist demagogues who wish to ensure that the peoples of the UK never ever enjoy sovereign independence again.

The lamentable farrago over the UK's impending departure from the EU - aka the brexit negotiations - continues unabated.
The UK domestic Remain campaign/Referendum verdict deniers are currently in the midst of throwing the kitchen sink at Brexit.
Having already deployed the mendacious blackmail demands of the so-called " Divorce settlement " alongside the bogus lamentations and woefully insincere pleading of EU Citizens against the sensitive heartstrings of the May minority regime; the globalist plutocratic denizens of domestic metropolitan elitism and their Controllers in Brussels have now opened up a third front- that of the largely fictitious "problem" surrounding hypothetical difficulties envisaged around the Irish Border post- Brexit.

The request from Dublin turned into a proxy battle between Germany’s two leading parties, which are locked in a growing coalition battle.
Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU) backed Ireland’s request, along with the Greens and the liberal Free Democratic Party (FDP), calling Ireland a model crisis country.
But the centre-left Social Democratic Party (SPD) voted against, calling on Dublin to adopt a “fairer tax policy” that prioritised its EU partners over multinationals.
In turn, the SPD’s critical stance saw Bundestag rivals accuse it of “playing politics” over Ireland – and EU rescue policies the party had backed in the past.

The heated debate ended with disagreement over the show-of-hands vote, prompting a full lobby vote that saw the motion passed by 348 to 283.
Dublin has applied to refinance an IMF loan, as well as two bilateral loans from Denmark and Sweden, using funds borrowed at lower rates from financial markets.
As Ireland has also borrowed €40.2 billion from two EU bailout facilities, all European Union states must agree to waive the right to get early repayment at the same time.
The Bundestag is one of a handful of European parliaments whose permission is required to change Ireland’s crisis-loan terms and allow early repayment. Elsewhere, the decision is made by government.
Acting finance minister Peter Altmaier told the German parliament that Ireland had fulfilled all conditions of its EU/IMF programme and was part of a rescue “success story” that included Spain and Portugal.
Ireland had restructured its banks and welfare system, won back trust of financial markets and was back in growth, he said, proving EU crisis measures had been appropriate.
Poison
Backing Dublin’s request and reducing the Irish debt burden, he said, would increase further market trust in “this small but important country”, and was thus in the interest of Irish and German taxpayers.
“I welcome today that I spoke with the Irish finance minister and he is ready to continue the technical co-operation and oversight with the IMF,” added Mr Altmaier. “This is in the interest of Ireland and will increase credibility in Irish politics.”
SPD parliamentary secretary Carsten Schneider attacked Ireland’s request, given its refusal to collect from Apple €13 billion in tax the European Commission says is outstanding.
“If a liberally minded country relinquishes tax revenues … then, for us in the SPD, our solidarity is at an end,” he said. “Tax dumping cannot be a business model in a social and progressive EU … it is poison for democracy.”
Mr Schneider suggested that Ireland had failed to honour two crisis-era promises to revisit its tax model and had “run the stop sign twice”.
Not everyone in Dr Merkel’s CDU had warm words for Ireland, with MP Hans Michelbach conceding that Ireland was a “tax haven and accessory for tax tricks of transnational concerns”.
“This is not acceptable,” he said. But, turning to Mr Schneider, he added: “You cannot use a mallet against another European country … and mix loan repayments with tax policy.”
