Thankfully this is the fifth and final blog post of mine in November on the topic of the General Election .
It really is turning out to be as ineluctably otiose as I'd predicted and feared that it might be.
Amongst the most prominent of hashtags on twitter this morning for example are :- #bbcimpartiality and #labourlies. And that about sums up the state of play in this more than usually cantankerous campaign.
GE 2019 is managing to be even more intellectually indolent than the voters' accustomed expectations of yawning vacuity and cant from all the parties.
No policy statement ,issue of genuine public concern or aspiration for the future has escaped being drowned in the deluge of partisan hyperbole and misdirected drivel, the speakers of which were hoping to make sound something akin to statesman-like rhetoric of great import.Which of course none of it is.
It's way past time that the entire process underwent a Bonfire of the Shibboleths.
Ever woken up from a coma and been hit by the thought of whatever happened do the car you were in? No? well neither have I.But the antidemocratic,seditionist ,neoliberal,globalist metropolitan elites and their lackeys in Westminster are going through some kind of waking nightmare,super post traumatic disorder on a loop.
They are spending most of their waking hours as actors and extras on the film set of "The Great Betrayal :How Brexit Was Stolen From The People" and are improvising dialogue and action in lieu of the hastily arranged script re-writes that are being delivered post-haste to the set in an effort to draw this tediously long epic to some kind of conclusion.
The EUropean Megastate are past masters in perverting,distorting and utterly corrupting any semblance of national sovereignty that one of its satrapies might wish to foolishly indulge itself in. (See appended below )

Funny that just a few days ago - The EU funded seditionist #PeoplesVote and its supporters in the Civil Service were trumpeting Whitehall's latest episode in the on going drama serial of what happens when we do leave.Contingency plans were being drawn up for,get this, the imposition Martial Law.

The 650, mostly idle, careerist benchwarming mendicants sojourning at the Palace of Westminster will soon be voting on,as we are led to believe, a vote on the vote of the vote on Anglican Tea Lady of the Year( Theresa May ) brexit " deal ".
But then again perhaps not.This,however is how all badly produced ,acted and directed pantomimes end.
Our largely Oxbridge educated,metropolitan domiciled elites as a whole never wanted a referendum on the UK's continuing vassalage to the EU.None of them.Even those who went to great lengths to persuade the public that they somehow had taken a sudden and passionate interest in restoring our country's sovereignty by exiting the EU
.
We have essentially arrived at the present imbroglio as a result of Cameron going missing after the spectacular mis-fire of his cunning referendum plan to head off UKIP in the 2015 polls which led to a committed Remoaner being stage-managed into the Tory leadership and thereby the premiership.
Which is all basically third rate political persiflage that passes for deep,meaningful political and philosophical debate in contemporary Britain.
Across la Manche, Gilets Jaunes are causing increasing consternation among France's europhile globalist ruling elites with astounding alacrity.So much so in fact that Chief Petainist Petomane Macron has given the nod to his Riot Police goon squads to go around beating the crap out of anyone they feel like,usually at odds of 6 to 1 in favour of the duffers-up versus those getting duffed up.
Does any of this have any lingering or potential significance for the all too laid back,nay sanguine British electorate? probably not,then again we'll find out after 29 March,won't we?
Contemporary politics is so exciting right now ; Gilets Jaunes are setting the agenda in France; Germany has a burgeoning populist movement/Party in the AfD . Italy has an activist Coalition government Lega /M5S that's seemingly prepared to mix it with the EU over national budget and debt issues. And so on and so forth.
Belgium has a minority government that's falling apart,as governments invariably do in Belgium, Hungary and Poland are both somewhat at loggerheads with the overbearing and tyrannical EU over domestic laws and the exercise of sovereignty.
And in the UK? Theresa May -former Anglican Tea Lady of the Year - has "won" a vote of confidence among her own party's parliamentary representatives by 200 to 117.Which resolved let alone solved absolutely nothing regarding the on going post-modern performance installation art work known as Brexit.
The 19th Century FPTP,single member constituency form of parliamentary representation ossified into the straitjacket of two major political parties-both historically in decline-merely exacerbates the hiatus of political legitimacy and democratic governance within the UK.
As Marxist-Leninists might say, were they still in the Realpolitik business and of some conceivable relevance ,the requisite necessary preconditions favourable to the advance of revolutionary politics has been attained ( or very nearly so ).
There is a nascent #YellowVestsUK that might,though I personally doubt it, take on the scope of and have the impact of the French #GiletsJaunes. There hasn't been a genuine extra-parliamentary mass political movement in the UK of any heft since the Chartists back in the 1840s.
Too badly led for far too many decades by regressive,blinkered Lefts of many shades,extra-parliamentary protest has too often been neutered and rendered inert by those very forces that were supposedly aiming for a revolutionary overthrow.It has fallen to the non-Left aka the Right to provide any potential bedrock on which alternate structures can be built.
Still,all in all the tsunami;tidal wave upon tidal wave,is picking up intensity and it doesn't take a weatherman to tell you once the weather changes.

Nearly 4 weeks after EU Referendum Day, the forces of Reaction & Remain continue to seek more ways to stymie and/or annul the decision of the UK Electorate to vote to leave the EU ( aka Brexit ). Petitions,demonstrations, legal actions,organised online forums, academics and prelates, commentators on every specialism - finance, foreign relations, international trade, have been brought to bear against the carrying out of the decision to leave the EU. Where does this heinous misbehaviour stem from, who are the main culprits? The facts are that Tory MPs were split roughly 50-50 on the issue, whereas Labour MPs were 90-10 for Remain.And given the enormous pro-Leave votes in a huge number of nominally Labour " seats ", it was #LabourInForBritain who were by some considerable distance wide of the mark. Not only were they not singing from the same hymn-sheet as their " traditional voters ", LabourInForBritain weren't even standing in the same pews in the same church as their core voters. And that is a good thing, irrespective of any other partisan ideological considerations, if indeed it can still be argued that there are any of any merit left. Once upon a time matters such as Treason and Sedition meant something, the words and what they signified resonated with awe and gravitas. A fortnight or so ago, a pop-up campaign - The 48% - organised a protest rally in London.One of their keynote speakers, Labour MP for Tottenham, David Lammy actually preached Sedition and sought to incite the crowd against our lawful government and its acceptance of the EU referendum result. The metropolitan domiciled, self-referencing bien pensant with their faux-bourgeois manners and social affectations and faddish prejudices have been around for a very long time indeed. And it is something of a meta-historical phenomenon that they choose precisely this juncture in the overarching historical narrative to once again display and articulate in an unrestrained, undiplomatic fashion their utter contempt, loathing and hatred of the majority within British society.
Here's what I emailed to my local newspaper the other day, perhaps it'll get published, perhaps not.
Clearly our current MP for Wakefield has lost confidence in the electorate on whom she is dependent. It seems that our current MP is far from " chuffed " with the democratic and binding decision of the electorate. That's a pity because in over 40 years of community and Trades Union activism I have never witnessed such a mendacious and fundamentally dishonest campaign than that waged by the Remain block during The EU Referendum. Bear in mind that #LabourInForBritain provided Remain's pivotal,leading role with some 200 Labour MPs declaring for Remain. It is not the electorate that has to explain itself to its elected representatives,but rather it behoves those such as Mary Creagh to make an unreserved and unconditional apology to the Electorate.
Will any MP who supported and canvassed for Remain actually apologise? probably not. Will Brexit be declared null and void? probably not.
FOOTNOTE :- There is a General Election scheduled for May 2020, once invoked by the PM via Royal prerogative, Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty envisages a timeframe of 2 years for all subsequent negotiations. This government will not go into an election with that unresolved.

So,here we are at the precipice.It's worth recounting briefly which intricate labyrinth of steps we've traversed in order to find ourselves at this singularly existential juncture.
It's okay,you can skip the next bit since in retrospect it seems highly implausible that such a portmanteau of eventualities could occur or are ever likely to occur in such a fashion ever again.
Tories decide to add a commitment to holding an " In-Out" referendum on EU membership to their manifesto for GE2015. They do it,in what their leadership assumes is a countervailing and pre-emptive manouevre to stop further votes being lost to UKIP.
Against the odds,Cameron leads his Party to an outright victory with a 20-odd seats overall majority.
Parliament approves with virtually no dissenting votes against that a binding In-Out referendum will be held on June 23 2016.
As polling booths closed on June 22,leading bookmakers were quoting that the Remain campaign is 9 to 1 on, to win.In lay man's terms that means in order to win £1 you'd have to place a bet of £9.That's the racingiest certainty of all time.
Except that the bookies' and the metropolitan elites' and political establishment's favourite came in second.
2 years of unabated Sturm und drang ensued.
During which time Cameron & Osborne jumped ship asap after the Leave victory and Theresa May - Anglican Tea Lady of the Year became Tory leader and with it PM after having campaigned for Remain.
By 2017 she'd become more confused than usual and in a prolonged fit of political hubris called for and engineered a General election which the opposition parties generously helped her to do.A 20-odd seats overall majority got blown out of the water,but as still the largest party, the Tories cut a deal with the DUP to allow them to govern.So instead of gaining a surer grip on the brexit negotiations with a larger Tory overall majority who she could command at will, May the supreme anti-strategist ended up with no majority and her premiership and dreams of grandeur on life support with the switch firmly in the grasp of a fiercely pro-brexit DUP.
And so on and so forth up to the present day.
Brexit itself remains firmly on course to be utterly,callously and brutally betrayed by the nation's political class.Something like 80% of the itinerant Westminster benchwarmers were for Remain and were always highly unlikely to expedite matters in such a manner as to assuage the expectations that a Vote for Leave unleashed.
As for the contrived hysteria and virtue signalling over the Irish border and all the quasi-theological cant over a backstop and the Good Friday Agreement,blah,blah,blah remember this; the ratbag Fenian regime residing in Dublin has to have its national budget approved by a committee of the German Bundestag before it,the ragbag regime in Dublin is even allowed to spend any of its own pocket money.
Treachery ,hypocrisy and otiose cant are the political class' tools of the trade.And the sooner the tumbrils come to cart them all off,the better.
History gets written by the winners.And losers tend to get a good kicking.
Ultimately there is no-one who is actually " righteous " in any of this; no,not one. But that doesn't mean we ought not to take sides and be actively committed to a cause.
What it ought to mean is, that irrespective of the outcome of any particular argument and our role in it ,history gets made, out of which altered circumstances newer conditions inexorably evolve and develop and the struggle renews and is renewed by this inimitable dynamic of human society.
But we still like our side,the cause we're committed to to prevail,we do really want to be the ones on the winning side writing the history of a particular struggle. If that were not so then we'd all be supine conformist automatons and all human society /civilisation would be locked into a totalitarian stasis forever.Which of course is utterly absurd but that's exactly where our present day ruling elites would like to keep the rest of us.
Having themselves been the main beneficiaries of previous favourable outcomes of revolutionary historical struggles,they,our present day ruling elites,do not want others now to be in their turn be the beneficiaries of this current burgeoning period of historical evolution and development.
Nothing exemplifies this dialectical /historical materialist impasse more graphically than the travails and crises overwhelming the ancien regime of the European Union.Once that tyrannical institution topples,out with it will go political correctness and the entire associated ideological detritus of post-1945 Western dominant ideology that has ransacked and virtually annihilated the great moral and ethical doctrines which once seemed so insuperable but through idleness and sloth failed to be maintained and reinvigorated.
The UK's intention to Leave the EU, aka Brexit, is perhaps a strategic lynchpin in all of this.it is only "perhaps",because the political class as servants primarily of the metropolitan ruling elites,are doing their damnedest to emasculate and effectively render impotent whatever Brexit might actually become once implemented in full. The metropolitan elites do not want the brexit that might conceivably energise a broader turmoil that inevitably leads to the removal of the metropolitan elites themselves from the commanding heights of history at this particular juncture.
Recorded history ( is like a swiss cheese in that it's mainly made up of holes ) comprises in the main missed opportunities,half-taken chances and procrastination trumping daring. Imagine our contemporary world but where the great Reformation of the 1530's and 40's succeeded far more than it was allowed to.Or,the English revolution of the 1630's and 40's where Levellers and others had held their nerve and had doubled down on their strategy.
Determining Historical materialist outcomes is not some otiose parlour game of 20/20 hindsight.Certain delayed outcomes,say Irish independence, would have been far better to have been dealt with effectively and resolved around 1884 than they eventually were some 30 years afterwards with what were considerably greater and wider ranging egregious consequences that had not been present thirty years earlier..
And so it goes.
We are not, either here in the UK over Brexit nor on the Continent of Europe because of a cataclysmic failure of the EU tyranny heading into a historic tsunami of unimaginable dimensions,not at all,on the contrary we are already in the middle of it.
Had the Conservatives in their 2015 GE manifesto promised to hold,if returned to office, an advisory only referendum on UK membership of the EU -history really would have turned out ...portentous crescendo of music... a bit different,but not much.
They chose,instead with full cross party parliamentary agreement to make the result of the Referendum binding.The itinerant Westminster careerist benchwarmers believed,even as they promulgated this measure, that the 23 June 2016 EU Referendum would come out in favour of Remain.The entirety of the metropolitan domiciled ruling elites ,the entire Oxbridge / Public School alumni that constitutes the MSM Commentariat - all knew for certain that the Electorate when asked to approve of the UK remaining a servile satrapy of the EU,would give their supine consent at the ballot box,no problem.
Except of course, that they didn't. The majority of the Electorate chose instead to exercise their too often muted sovereign will by asking to be set free from the yoke of EU bondage and for the release of Great Britain from the serfdom of the 4th.German Reich.
And for the next two years,the metropolitan elites unleashed a continuous propaganda barrage of unmitigated class-hatred savagery toward ordinary working class people and all those who expressed even a modicum of traditional amiable, patriotism and had,in the elites' view made a mistake in voting Leave.
The Religious Reformation of the mid -16th .Century and then the Parliamentary v. Monarchical Absolutism engendered Civil War of the 1630s and 40s are probably the nearest comparable historical episodes to the present interminable constitutional imbroglio that has consumed almost the entirety of the UK polity in dissension,factionalism,mutual antipathy and unreason.
The Remain campaign has proven to be the more determined of the two.It has used the bigger lies,the greater misinformation and the more vituperative slanderous mis-characterisation of their opponents in the Leave side than has been the case vice versa.
Ultimately The Reformation ended up,in hindsight as a dog-eared,pretty much heavily adulterated theological compromise that fell far too short of being genuinely Protestant as envisaged by either Luther or Calvin and which would have made for a far better and purer modernity and Society. Equally the English Civil War period delivered far less than had been aspired to by so many.Annual parliaments,universal male suffrage etc. Though many substantial reforms did actually occur,the monarchy was back by 1660.
And so we come to it...more portentous music....on June 12. Though he prattles on in his usual peremptory condescending Blairite metropolitan elitist manner -as if June 23 had never happened, leading EU shill Labour MP and Remainer Chuka Umunna ,said: "It is absolutely outrageous for the government to allocate just one day to a debate that promises to be crucial for the future of our country."
"This is a shameful attempt by the government to avoid difficult questions about the chaotic mess they've made of the Brexit negotiations."
And perhaps he's got a valid point.
The rest including the latest egregious faux-pas from Boris Johnson is simply theatre,another act in a pantomime slowly unwinding from the fabric or the reality of our everyday lives and concerns.
The People shall not forget this treasonable betrayal of their Sovereign will,neither shall they forgive those who carried out that betrayal.
Amid all the fabricated chaos,convulsions and confusion engendered by the seditionist agitators of the – 48%, Remain ,Stronger in Europe,Open Britain,Campaign or whatever else they choose to call themselves on any given day, there is one over-arching certainty; the general atmosphere of vituperative public discourse is highly unlikely to dissipate the nearer we get to actual #brexit in March 2019.
That said, we glean from the BBC news site :-
” Writing in the Sunday Telegraph, Mr Hammond and Mr Fox said the UK definitely would leave both the customs union and the single market when it exits the EU in March 2019.
They said a “time-limited” transition period would “further our national interest and give business greater certainty” – but warned it would not stop Brexit. ”
It is heartening indeed that the Chancellor and the International Trade Secretary have found so much common ground. It bears an uncanny resemblance to those very same basic tenets of the Leave campaign in the EU Referendum in 2016.
Of course this is Britain,so even the theoretical notion that something will actually ever get done by those in power in accordance with the Will of the people as expressed for instance, in a referendum that all parties agree beforehand the result of which will in effect be binding is far more problematic.
We can all plainly see that from the present on going,seemingly interminable imbroglio.
But two prominent members of HMG’s Cabinet espousing the same line? You can never tell.
Hell, the Reformation got carried out for the most part,and the Civil War a century or so later pretty much succeeded also.So leaving the EU aka brexit may actually eventuate.
The Social Europe site published an opinion by Simon Wren-Lewis on the current state of the UK's brexit negotiations with the EU. In general, SWL's article was a broadly social-democratic critique of what he regards as the Left's case- " Lexit "- for leaving the EU.
So far so good,after all just like every vote cast in the EU referendum was of equal value, so too, were we to extend the argument ,ought not one man's opinion be of equal validity to everyone else's opinion on any given issue? In practice,of course this is never the case, to believe that it could be is the height of naivety.
You see, the Simon Wren-Lewis article had as a footnote his official moniker " Professor of Economics at Oxford University ". Of all the varied demographic groupings it was the AB social class alone amongst all of them that had a majority vote Remain in the EU referendum. And Remain metropolitan elitists being the seditionist nest of vipers that they invariably are, it doesn't stop at the opinion,learned or otherwise of just one professor.
Today's MSM has been assailed with the announcement of a list of demands delivered to our doltish Prime Minister by no less an august grouping than that representing the UK's leading 10 universities. Their particular strategic line of assault against Brexit is centred on the supposed infringement of the copious Rights enjoyed by EU citizens sojourning in the UK who also happen to be working at universities.
And so it goes. The metastasizing Remain insurgency asserts that every conceivable sector of the economy in one shape or form or another is under dire immediate existential threat because of the looming brexit. Whether or not it even actually eventuates or not.
As for the democratic will of the UK's sovereign electorate as expressed in a binding referendum agreed as such by parliament itself; that clearly counts for less than nothing.And in any event the 52% were misled,didn't understand the question or did and perversely voted Leave because they are racist,insular cretins.
I'm sure some famous,infamous,oft-quoted Chinese general wrote something along the lines of, the purpose of warfare is to convince the enemy in their own minds that they cannot win. And of course it was an irascible Lutheran Prussian general whose maxim that, War is the continuation of politics by other means, strikes an all too familiar chord today.
Once Article 50 was promulgated by Parliament,the metropolitan elitist organised and led Remain campaign knew that their anti-democratic, seditionist cause was on the ropes and facing imminent collapse.Politics is war and the sinister forces of globalist-neoliberalism were never very likely to accept the verdict of the Judiciary and Parliament let alone as well as a binding referendum on the matter. Their best and only hope lies in a continuation by any and all means,however subversive and destabilising,of the conflict ensuring that the war over #brexit goes on.
Even the now lawful triggering of Article 50 that set in motion a defined two year timeframe for withdrawal negotiations- no agreements being reached after the set two years would mean the UK exiting the EU and going immediately onto WTO rules for Trade- even that has now been called into question by the very metropolitan and shadowy foreign interest groups and organisations that insisted on everyone abiding by and adhering to Article 50.
The MSM and other social media platforms are abuzz with newly engendered,fevered speculation over the synthesised concept of a " Transition Period ". And this from those supposedly leading on brexit. Cliff edges,hard brexit, labour shortages,here ,there and everywhere throughout the national economy are now the weapons of mass deception being deployed on a rapidly recurring hourly basis by Remain.
A few days ago it was Bloomberg.com sounding the trumpets of doom on a shortage of agricultural labourers ; today its the George Osborne edited London Standard on waiting and bar staff. :-
" Brexit is causing a crisis in the hiring of bar and restaurant workers, a top hospitality boss has warned.
Leslie Kwarteng, a senior general manager at three of central London's most popular restaurants, said it is becoming increasingly difficult to hire waiting on and bar staff since the Brexit vote.
The 29-year-old runs the iconic Quaglino’s restaurant in the heart of London’s Mayfair, rooftop venue Madison, which has terraces looking out onto St Paul’s Cathedral, and swanky eatery and lounge bar 100 Wardour Street in Soho. "
Clearly,the tried and trusted capitalistic method of offering higher wages and improved working conditions has yet to occur to this particular denizen of the squalid,wheedling,greedy,corrupt sector of congenitally incompetent and arrogant UK bosses and business leaders.
The shame is that no-one on the democratic populist side who actually won the Referendum has ever read,nor would be perhaps even capable of understanding the works of Macchiavelli or Clausewitz or that Chinese general.
In any given situation,the most determined wins.
The problems faced by those opposed to the UK's departure from the EU are not my concern. It is axiomatic that nothing worthwhile can ever be achieved without pain and sacrifice. The restoration of the UK's national sovereignty is precisely such a worthwhile undertaking and I am content for that necessary burden of pain and sacrifice to be shouldered exclusively by all those opposed to Brexit. It goes some way to mitigating the shame and dishonour of our now 45 years long abject subjugation to the tyrannical despotism of the Franco-German European Union.
The insidious,shrill demagoguey of the Remain campaign continues unabated. The metropolitan elitist led Remoaner rabble are still helmed by the 200+ Labour MPs who never rescinded their allegiance to the plainly seditionist #LabourIn ,who so unexpectedly lost out to the democratic will of the sovereign Electorate,something that took them and their sinister globalist corporate confederates completely by surprise on June 23 2016.
Bloomberg.com carried the black propaganda headline , " Even Immigrant Managers Fear Brexit These Days ".
Like we should even give a f***. The gist of the Remoaner stance being summed in the Bloomberg article up by :-
" The potential departure of EU migrants means tough times ahead for countless British businesses, including Traditional Norfolk Poultry, one of the companies Bloomberg is tracking through the Brexit process. Even the dumbest Leftist, Another Europe is Possible, marxist-manque ought by this late stage acknowledge the efficacy of the iron law of economics;supply and demand. Capitalists are forced against their own ideological prejudices and personal consciences to actually increase their offer on wages in a vain attempt to attract the necessary numbers of workers.They can of course brutalise and exploit those workers later, on other terms and conditions once they've got them to swallow the bait on remuneration.
It was ever thus. 40 years of stagnant and declining levels of real wages, the rapid cancerous spread of Zero Hours precarious casualised employment are inextricably linked to ever increasing levels of globalisation. None of which is ever in the interests of the workers.
Neither is the EU pantomime of " freedom of movement of labour ". A heretofore one country's jobless becomes several other countries' problem in so far as the jobless mendicants from Latvia,Lithuania,Romania,Bulgaria, Poland's moribund dysfunctional economies have displaced those who would otherwise have been employed in ,for example,the UK.
The aggregate total of officially 30,000,000 jobless throughout the EU remains undisturbed; the Titanic continues to founder,only the deckchairs have been rearranged.

This elicited a wave of hostile reactions particularly from the anti-brexit Remoaner dim witted Leftists who actually,contrary to accepted economic science, insist and promulgate their flat earth style theory that increased labour market competition increases wages.
The usual inquisitorial litany of charges they level at anyone advocating the end of the neoliberal EU's unrestricted freedom of movement consists of but isn't limited to , xenophobia, racism, scapegoating of immigrants.
" Remoaners " - whether of the left or right -never even attempt to explain how increased labour market competition does actually drive up the general level of wages. The insidious and genuinely disturbing authoritarian rhetoric of the Remain campaign precludes dissent from their received wisdom.
A typical Trades Union constitution such as the UNITE Trade Union constitution ( 2011 ) is self-evidently in breach of the Leftoid/marxoid flat earthers' fundamental principles. After all, how can any Trade union defend let alone improve wages and working conditions under the remorseless onslaught of unfettered unlimited immigration numbers? Real wages have been eroded these past 40 years and UK GDP has lain dormant since the crash of 2007/08.

The report from the Centre for Social Justice and Legatum Institute found that people in the “AB” class – the middle and upper classes - were the only group which had a majority voting to Remain at the June 23 referendum.
The majority of people in all the other income groups - described as C1, C2, D and E - all voted to leave, the report said. While 57 per cent of voters in the more affluent AB group voted to remain, the proportion in the other four groups was 36 per cent.

The comitology process was “born out of necessity” in the 1960s, in the early years of the European Economic Community.
The Council of the EU, which represents member state governments, decided to delegate powers to the commission.
“Ministers did not want to convene for all sorts of ad hoc decisions on, for example, milk prices,” said Vos.
“However, they also did not want to give the commission a carte blanche. The commission was given the authority to take decisions, but only after it consulted a committee of representatives of member states.”
That system worked fairly well, according to Ellen Vos, professor of European Union Law at the Maastricht University, but then it was overhauled with the adoption of the Lisbon treaty, which entered into force in 2009.
The Lisbon treaty introduced a division between implementing acts and delegated acts.
Implementing acts involve a committee of member state government representatives, which take the decision, with no involvement from the EU parliament.
Delegated acts are adopted by the commission, after taking advice from a committee of member state experts. The latter can be vetoed by the EU parliament.
“The irony is that the idea behind the changes adopted in the Lisbon treaty, was to simplify things,” said Vos.
“However, the situation has become more complicated. I have never really welcomed this development and think comitology should be simplified.”
During negotiations on general regulations or directives, which are adopted by parliament and council, a contentious issue is often one where detailed rules should be adopted by means of implementing act or delegated act.
“There is a lot of case law emerging about what the difference is between a delegated act and an implementing act,” said Vos.

Her chance remark was recorded by a hack from the Huffington Post, it was like gifting a latent pyromaniac a box of matches they weren't expecting to be handed to them. And that triggered the MSM and social media deluge. The "R" word has been invoked. Not that the,by now hapless and suspended MP is accused of actually being an "R" or was seeking to incite any such response.In other words,even by the PC metropolitan elitist Stasi-thought police standards she has not been accused of a " Hate Incident"-

The EU has issued a 24-hour warning to Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland saying that they have to start taking in refugees under an EU migrant-sharing plan.
The three countries immediately rebuffed the threat and appeared ready to go to court.
The European Commission said in a statement that it has repeatedly urged them to relocate refugees or at least pledge to do so under the legally-binding refugee plan agreed two years ago.
It said they have failed to take action ‘in breach of their legal obligations,’ and that it “has decided to launch infringement procedures.” The plan to share 160,000 refugees in overwhelmed Italy and Greece among other European countries over two years was endorsed in September 2015 by a qualified majority vote.
