Yes indeed, things can go from bad to worse and from fraught situations to terribly fraught situations in the twinkling of an eye.

With just over a week to go of the General Election 2019 aka GE2019, NATO held their Leaders'summit in London,the occasion also marked the organisation's 70th. anniversary of coming into existence.

Supposedly predicated on the axiom of one for all and all for one,the truth is it hasn't been doing a terribly good job at even maintaining some sort of superficial yet agreeable pretence that the rule of law or some such ludicrous notion actually operates within NATO.

The US and Turkey's machiavellian machinations in the Syria imbroglio is the prime case in point.France's President Macron reiterated with the typical verbal elan oft ascribed to his countrymen,that NATO must be brain dead and that what Turkey was doing in Syria vis a vis the Kurds was not acceptable.
US President Trump on the contrary demurred in his customary,erm,style.
A tisket,a tasket NATO's heads all in a basket.Member betraying member by failing to appraise them of some strategic ledgerdemain?

Well how about NATO member Turkey invading and conquering the northern part of Cyprus in 1974?The UN member island state remains partitioned to this day.The British forces garrison at the time was made to look on in stunned disbelief and diplomatic abasement before the Turkish military's coup-de-main.

Moving forward in 1982 and when NATO member state Great Britain was attacked by Argentina of all countries,the organisation's Three Musketeers-esque cri-de-coeur was hastily ignored as everyone looked elsewhere hoping to avoid making diplomatic eye contact with the British.

The French,in revenge no doubt for the British sinking the French fleet at Mers el KIber in 1940, addressed the Argentinian aggression in the Falklands,by promptly supplying the Argies' airforce with the exocet missiles they needed to sink British ships.

And then in 1983,there were the Yanks storming into the tiny Caribbean island nation state of Grenada - a member of the British Commonwealth ,without informing beforehand the bemused Thatcher government in London at the time.

And so on and so forth.

Then there's NATO's ignominy in Yugoslavia and its various component republics,Iraq (twice),Afghanistan,Libya and Syria.But they call them successes and in any case the burgeoning 29 nation state member alliance has more more pressing matters to worry over at this moment,when Trump called Trudeau two-faced on the record.

Terrorism,Russia and the emerging threat of China are vying for top spot in NATO's contrived moral panic list.

In conclusion,with the wannabe great Ottoman Sultan Erdogan getting effective carte-blanche to do whatever in Syria,one can only conclude that by NATO's own historic criteria,rules and policies -NATO itself is a terrorist organisation.

Brexit and U.S. President Donald Trump are not going away any time soon.The two most prominent political phenomena currently exercising hegemony over political discourse here in Great Britain are precisely where they should be;dispatching their ideological opponents and detractors to their respective circles in Dante's Inferno.

POTUS is here over here to take part in #DDay75 ,the 75th Annual commemorations of the D-Day landings in Normandy on June 6 1944.And naturally,ineluctably, the metropolitan elitist dominated and managed Labour and LibDems and a bewildering assortment of moribund ultra-leftists,environmentalists and uni student agitators-manque got their opportunity to once again throw a collective hissy fit in public view.

The timing of the POTUS visit was the very apogee of synchronicity.It has been barely two weeks since the Brexit Party's stunning triumph at the EU Elections and Anglican Tea Lady of the Year May's consequent final capitulation to the forces of history.and nothing excites the PC globalist metropolitan elitist academics,luvvies and shysters quite so vicariously as Brexit and Trump together in the same place.Neanderthals probably experienced something like it everytime they were shown how to make fire.

Reasoned argument substantiated by a reference to facts delivered with a modicum of coherent rhetoric would really benefit the case of the Remoaners and their EU funded fifth columnist spearhead Peoples Vote. But that's not going happen either.

The Peoples Vote knuckle-draggers have now replaced the epithet "fascist" with "Nazi" as their weapon of choice when berating/denouncing/condemning anyone who disagrees with them in public.Violent physical assaults are now becoming quite a common occurence too whenever the PC Save our NHS mobsters descend like a pack of ravening wolves on any single person protesting for Brexit or Trump and who happens to be in their path.

A few days ago,POTUS told the NATO conference attendees to start stumping up more money on defence .The Corporate and  globalist MSM and hack commentariat admonished President Donald Trump variously for what they asserted was an unforgivable diplomatic/politically strategic faux-pas and downright bad manners.
POTUS made a valid point from the perspective of the US taxpayer ;the member nations  of NATO need to increase their defence expenditure,quite dramatically in most cases,if they want to enjoy the level of military security and preparedness which they are quite happy for the US to provide at its expense.
Advocating a liberal interventionist agenda ( that bears remarkable similarities to what the neocon US agenda actually looks like in practice) and joining in on sanctions devoid of any legitimacy in International Law against Russia,Iran,North Korea et al costs taxpayers- the Electorates in all NATO member states, money.
Days after this masterly exposition of Basic Economics 101 to his fellow NATO leaders, POTUS arrived in the UK for his scheduled official visit.And off went the PC globalist metropolitan middle class dog-whistles with their usual cacophony that comprised, in equal measure-otiose cant,vacuous platitudes and non sequiturs.
One could compose a jeremiad against this metropolitan elitist backed rabble and fashion wounding invective that destroys any vestige of character that they might've possessed.But that would at best be a pyrrhic victory very much in the same idiom as the #StopTrump campaigning hydra 's efforts have shown themselves ineluctably to be.
The onwards march of the forces of Meta-Historical evolution and development do not and will never give a shit about someone somewhere bleeding their egotistical little conscience over some issue or other.Really.You might as well hope that gravity gives a thought to when you hurl yourself of off a roof.
The #StopTrump London exercise in PC metropolitan ,uni-student common room faux-revolutionary middle class placard waving and online virtue signalling was just that. Vegans,LGBT,Labour,LibDems,Greens,SWP,Womens Equality Party,Expat American Democrats,Supporters of Islamic terrorism and Illegal immigration,itinerant London gobshites such as David Lammy -slanderers and defamers of Trump,Populism,Brexit etc expressing the full gamut of infantile,delusional,paranoid and wholly unattainable demands and concerns on an infinite variety of politicised issues got their day in the sun.

A year ago Guido Fawkes  published a map of the constituencies with the most signatories for a petition opposing Trump's visit to Britain.
The map from Press Association shows that 15 of the top 20 constituencies with the most signatories in favour of cancelling Trump’s state visit are in London. The rest of the country doesn’t seem bothered, other than the student towns of Oxford, Cambridge, Bristol, Brighton and Edinburgh.
One year on from the visit that never eventuated,and it's all back on again.Apparently; albeit with no firm date as yet.
This means that the uni student common room slackers aka  SWP /Momentum /Green heroic vanguard of proletarian consciousness will be repainting their placards and practising their litanies of otiose cant and vacuous platitudes which they'll seek to deploy on the day itself.
Pseudo-moralistic posturing ( aka virtue-signalling ) ,will once again be to the fore in the ever shrinking realm of MSM  public discourse.All the visceral worthwhile polemic will be on social media as usual and which MSM still doesn't quite get yet.
Metropolitan undergrad,middle class, hipsters purposefully dressed down to be conspicuously inconspicuous believing themselves to be camouflaged as ordinary folk will assemble in their termite swarms in all the usual places.
Quite why " they " even bother to manifest such faux-outrage remains a mystery to any rational person,especially those who have a grasp of  Realpolitik .

Both nominally " Left " and  " Right " have spent decades progressively infantilising political discourse.

With few exceptions, mainstream political parties and a significant swathe of extra-parliamentary fringe groups have embraced and conformed themselves to the prevailing hegemony of Politically Correct,globalist metropolitan elitist thought and all that entails.

Daily life in civil society is awash with the sacrosanct shibboleths of -isms.A veritable faux-litany of " gender " and " race " has metastasized across western democratic nations.

Otiose cant and vacuous platitudes are the default responses of the metropolitan-domiciled cultural/political elites and these twins of evil are again rearing their foul ugly heads.

Brexit, aka the stumbling ,fumbling half-witted series  of impotent actions undertaken by HMG to enact the Will of the Sovereign Electorate on the matter of withdrawal of the UK from its bondage and servitude under the EU,is one such quasi-permanent target; the other is President of the US,Donald Trump.

As of December 4 2017, the putative visit of POTUS to the UK is being pencilled-in and underlined and magic-marked,no doubt in technicolour green ink,  for a Leftist/Liberal Pro-Islamic terrorist " mass " demonstration of disapproval.
