DUMB INSOLENCE #4

                                                       DUMB INSOLENCE #4

In the midst of an ongoing sniffles & coughing state of emergency, HMG of the UK (now independent) has found the elbow room to posture and strut their hour upon the world stage.

Giving Russia a ticking off would be under normal circumstances, seen as the trilling of a parrot who without realising it  has just told the listener to eff off.
But the UK Pandemic Hysteria Regime has gone one better,it has gotten itself embroiled in a toe to toe slanging match with The Peoples' Republic of China. 20x the UK'spopulation and No.2 soon to be No1 economic global superpower.
Its own entire historical narrative backstory of previous centuries aside for the moment, does the Westminster coven of chancers, footpads, embezzlers, hypocrites and liars have a tenuous claim to some ahistorical,over-arching inherent morality so lacking in the actions and behaviours of other sovereign nstion states and their foreign and domestic political agendas on whose own peoples' behalf they administer and govern with inalienable legitimacy?
The brief response is,of course, ineluctable,no.No,the Westminster Regime has no such basis, since no such basis has ever existed in time, space and history of this our World, ever.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Wahabi Islamic zealots and funders of islamist terrorism) would not be capable in the slightest degree of waging a prolonged war of aggression and its corollary of genocidal war crimes in Yemen against the Houthi populace without the massive support and backing of the UK.

The UK's co-equal USNATO satrapy,Turkey is also allowed to lavishly indulge president/Sultan Erdogan's insatiable appetite for foreign invasion, occupation and ethnic cleansing inside Syria. To which, of course the UK is wholly in agreement.

This is seriously pissing me off.

The wholesale reintroduction of popular and populist superstition ,the cretinous depths of which would've embarrassed the thickest Medieval peasants imaginable. And yet here we are 21st.Century industrialised advanced democracies wallowing in a ruling metropolitan elitist contrived wave of existential panic that comes straight from the script of " The Crucible "

Quasi-martial law restrictions of civil and human rights have already been implemented or are about to be in countries across Europe.Germany,Italy and Spain of course are getting out and dusting off their tried and trusted totalitarian playbooks from the 1930's. Nothing reassures their citizenries more than the comforting echo of jackboots parading in front of the Reichstag.

If CoronaVirus were only a revolutionary political movement then global corporate capitalism would actually have something better to replace it almost overnight.

All of a sudden thrusting, dynamic capitalist free marketeers -survival of the fittest - are whining and bawling like spoilt little brats tugging on mummy's pinny screeching for attention because it hurts.

And of course waves of panic buying are breaking out faster and wider spread than the coronavirus itself. And it's grasping, middle class materialist conformists doing the wholesale pillaging of supermarket shelves -you need plenty of dosh to go on a panic buying spree.

The same people panic buying are of the same social class as the publicly funded
academics, experts, scientists, official shroudwavers of the usual Greek Chorus of the NHS.

Herewith journalist and commentator nonpareil   Peter Hitchens from the mail on sunday.

" Yes, you are right. We have gone quite mad. I know that many people are thinking this, but dare not say so.
I will be accused of all kinds of terrible things for taking this view – but that is another aspect of how crazy things are.
Yes, coronavirus poses a risk. No, our response to it is not intelligent or useful. In fact, I think it is increasingly damaging and will soon become more so.
The key word here is proportion. There is nothing wrong with simple, practical precautions.
I have for many years believed that door handles pose one of the greatest threats to health, and try never to touch them with the naked hand. I was taught from my earliest years to wash my hands before eating.
I am a health faddist. I work at a standing desk. For many years I have walked and bicycled wherever I can. I often take the stairs rather than the lift. I can’t understand how anyone in my generation or younger can smoke, given what we know about it.
I regard sugar as a delicious poison to be avoided as much as possible. I drink little. I get up early and go to bed early. I believe cars are heart-attack machines, noisy, smelly, ugly devices, which depreciate in the gutter while they are not stopping us from exercising and wrecking our lower backs.
Yet our country is so badly planned that few families can manage without them nowadays.
For these reasons, I reckon that my risk from coronavirus is quite small. If I catch it, and I quite possibly will, I doubt it will trouble me all that much.
The truth is, people with what are called ‘underlying conditions’, many of which follow decades without exercise, are in danger not just from coronavirus but from almost everything.
If the Government is so worried about them, why has it followed transport and housing policies that have made it hard and dangerous to walk or bicycle, and so devastated the health of the people?
Why is the sale and possession of cigarettes still even legal? I wouldn’t normally raise these questions quite so fiercely, but the ever-increasing panicky bossiness of the authorities is annoying me.
I must ask them: are you really worried about our health, or are you just afraid of being blamed for a small number of the deaths that your policies are causing?
And are you just anxious to try to demonstrate how good you are? In such matters, we fuss where we do not need to, and do nothing where urgent action is required.
If a train crashed tomorrow and ten people died, it would be huge headlines for days, even though railways are, in fact, extremely safe. An inquiry would be held.
But each year more than 1,700 people die in road crashes, and another 25,000 are seriously injured, and it barely registers, because their lives are ended or ruined in ones and twos.
Governments distil fear into power. In a way, they are right to do so. We fear foreign invasion. The State builds a navy to protect us. We fear crime and disorder.
The State hires police and builds prisons. But they have become less and less good at these basic tasks, and perhaps they now seek other fields, where they can show how much we need them.
I have serious doubts about whether our Government has any idea how to slow the spread of this virus. I suspect it quietly reached these shores long before anyone noticed.
But I am quite sure that many of the current panic measures do far more harm than good. They create the idea that we are in the midst of a terrifying plague that will kill us all, when the truth – though disturbing – is far less frightening.
Their worst effect is to savage the economy by scaring people away from normal activities.
I went to the cinema last Sunday evening and there were six people in the theatre for what ought to be a successful film.
A florist known to me has just lost hundreds of pounds in business from cancelled events this weekend.
We have all seen the staggering, tottering behaviour of the stock markets, possibly triggered and certainly worsened by virus frenzy.
No doubt it will soon become impossible, under some frantic Emergency Powers Regime, to make this point.
I’ll be accused of giving aid and comfort to the virus, or of spreading Alarm and Despondency.
But before the roadblocks go up, and you need a pass to go to work, I thought I’d say it anyway. "

  Amen to that.

Labour MP sends Twitter into meltdown over comments babies are born 'without sex'

LABOUR MP Dawn Butler received a furious backlash on Twitter after she claimed "a child is born without sex" during a heated exchange with Richard Madeley on Good Morning Britain.

I don't post blogs much as I used to and particularly so in the wake of the triumph, somewhat delayed of Brexit from the the shackles of the EU tyranny.

Three and a half years of railing against the EU funded seditionist procrastination and the attendant Soros backed campaign of unmitigated slander and defamation of the 52% pro Brexit majority by the ubiquitous,Labour led Remain, took its toll.

But the abject failure of that hostile, alien power-backed campaign to undermine and destroy British constitutional government & the accepted norms of democratic legitimacy, has taken its toll on the Labour Party and its supine toadying Trades Union ideological catamites.

The stunning victory of Boris Johnson's Tories in December 2019 sent Labour ( and one cannot genuinely separate Left from Right from Centre from up their own anal tracts) spinning off into the Purgatory of opposition and the ideological wilderness of gender and identity politics.

Which brings us up to date ,in the middle of the Labour leadership contest -Starmer v.Nandy v. Long-Bailey ,to Ms.Butler's deranged utterances that epitomise the cruel insanity of gender and identity politics.

It is now even a recordable hate incident by the Police in the UK if you robustly challenge the very notion of transgenderism.

Let's get to it then, shall we?

What's stopping me?

fahrenheit451:337

Without too much further recapitulation; I posted this under fahrenheit451:337 on 4 August 2018.
The existential threat to life and the pursuit of liberty has,in the interim, increased exponentially;we have ineluctably become less ” free ” to express our beliefs and views than when I blogged this a year ago…
A couple of weeks or so ago, members of the Manchester University Students Union Executive ordered the painting over of a Rudyard Kipling poem in their building that had been put there as part of some recent very expensive renovations.
Their official rationale for this impromptu act of philistinism was that Kipling represented white patriarchy and racism.Or something along those lines.
Welcome to the alternate cosmic reality that is:- Virtue signalling, socialjustice warriors,safe-spaces,no-platforming; in other words the full unmitigated gamut of contemporary western identity / gender politics intruding into cultural and artistic expression.
Poetry was mainstream, controversial and exciting. And so it proved to be again a few days ago, when a largely unknown, unremarkable american poet-manque was thrust into the glaring headlines of social media when one of his poems got published.
I was going to recapitulate at length and had fully intended to do so,but occasionally, very rarely indeed someone says all I was going to on the matter at hand.
Here’s the New York Post  from 2 august 2018.- ” The PC police are ruining poetry ”

A mediocre poet wrote a mediocre poem. The Nation decided to publish it.
In a normal world, criticism of the poem, and of the poet, would center on the quality — or lack thereof — of the work. But we don’t live in a normal world anymore.
Anders Carlson-Wee’s 14-line poem “How-To” is not much more than a collection of indiscriminate ramblings. Percy Shelley, he is not. But neither was it offensive.
Apparently, the Twittersphere disagreed. And in the wake of criticism, Stephanie Burt and Carmen Giménez Smith, the Nation’s poetry editors, penned an apology that was longer, and significantly more disappointing, than the original poem. They claimed to have made “a serious mistake by choosing to publish the poem,” and insisted they were “sorry for the pain we have caused to the many communities affected by this poem.”
The poem reads as Carlson-Wee’s top tips to the homeless on how to secure donations. He advises those who live hard lives to say they are even harder: “if you got hiv,” Carlson-Wee writes, “say aids.” “If you’re a girl, say you’re pregnant,” and so on.
That the editors chose to capitulate to the loud voices of an ever-growing mob is bad enough. That they chose not to stand by a person and a poem they decided to publish is even worse. But what’s most disturbing is this: “Some of our readers have asked what we were thinking. When we read the poem we took it as a profane, over-the-top attack on the ways in which members of many groups are asked, or required, to perform the work of marginalization. We can no longer read the poem in that way.”
What the editors have effectively announced to the public is that they, people who presumably have some training or background in the study of poetry, cannot stand by their interpretation of a poem once they have had their eyes opened to the critiques of an activist mob.
Spend five minutes in a high-school poetry class, and you’ll learn that great — and even mediocre — poetry is layered. That multiplicity of meaning and of interpretation is precisely the point. But now there’s only one way of looking at things. Write a poem that someone, somewhere will interpret as offensive, and the hordes will descend.
The left has been silencing voices it disagrees with for a long time. First, it was the far right. Then it was centrists. Now it’s anyone — even a good soldier of the left — who dares to once open their mouths and contradict the illiberal zeitgeist. Not even comedians get a pass.
For a while, it seemed that this determination to control speech would limit itself to the political sphere. But there’s no denying that it has fixed its aim at art.
The editors had a perfect opportunity to stand by the poem, and the poet, and say that criticism or letters to the editor were one thing, but that they would not be cowed into issuing any sort of apology for daring to publish art that offended some people.
But they failed — and the poet, Carlson-Wee, failed as well. He pinned his own apology on his Twitter account, writing that he “intended for this poem to address the invisibility of homelessness,” but that it clearly “doesn’t work.” He went on to apologize for “treading anywhere close to blackface,” which is apparently what we now call it when people write from the perspective of others.
Carlson-Wee called the fact that he did not “foresee this reading of the poem and the harm it could cause . . . humbling and eye-opening.” He’s now “reevaluating what it means to make art in this world from a place of privilege.”
Poets have often gone against the grain and earned their share of criticism. During his lifetime, and in the immediate aftermath of his death, much was made of the unconventional life choices that Percy Shelley had made. His critics were preoccupied by his philandering and his unapologetic atheism, qualities that were not as tolerated or smiled upon as they are today.
In one of his greatest essays, he mused: “I have found my language misunderstood like one in a distant and savage land.”
We are living in savage times. If only our artists would stand up and say so.
Daniella Greenbaum is a writer living in New York.

Amen.

History gets written by the winners. And losers tend to get a good kicking.
Ultimately there is no-one who is actually ” righteous ” in any of this; no,not one. But that doesn’t mean we ought not to take sides and be actively committed to a cause.
What it ought to mean is, that irrespective of the outcome of any particular argument and our role in it ,history gets made, out of which altered circumstances newer conditions inexorably evolve and develop and the struggle renews and is renewed by this inimitable dynamic of human society.
But we still like our side, the cause we’re committed to to prevail,we do really want to be the ones on the winning side writing the history of a particular struggle. If that were not so then we’d all be supine conformist automatons and all human society /civilisation would be locked into a totalitarian stasis forever.Which of course is utterly absurd but that’s exactly where our present day ruling elites would like to keep the rest of us.
Having themselves been the main beneficiaries of previous favourable outcomes of revolutionary historical struggles, they, our present day ruling elites,do not want others now to be in their turn be the beneficiaries of this current burgeoning period of historical evolution and development.
Nothing exemplifies this dialectical /historical materialist impasse more graphically than the travails and crises overwhelming the ancien regime of the European Union.Once that tyrannical institution topples, out with it will go political correctness and the entire associated ideological detritus of post-1945 Western dominant ideology that has ransacked and virtually annihilated the great moral and ethical doctrines which once seemed so insuperable but through idleness and sloth failed to be maintained and reinvigorated.
The UK’s intention to Leave the EU, aka Brexit, is perhaps a strategic lynchpin in all of this.it is only “perhaps”,because the political class as servants primarily of the metropolitan ruling elites, are doing their damnedest to emasculate and effectively render impotent whatever Brexit might actually become once implemented in full. The metropolitan elites do not want the brexit that might conceivably energise  a broader turmoil that inevitably leads to the removal of the metropolitan elites themselves from the commanding heights of history at this particular juncture.
Recorded history ( is like a swiss cheese in that it’s mainly made up of holes ) comprises in the main missed opportunities,half-taken chances and procrastination trumping daring. Imagine our contemporary world but where the great Reformation of the 1530’s and 40’s succeeded far more than it was allowed to.Or,the English revolution of the 1630’s and 40’s where Levellers and others had held their nerve and had doubled down on their strategy.
Determining Historical materialist outcomes is not some otiose parlour game of 20/20 hindsight.Certain delayed outcomes, say Irish independence, would have been far better to have been dealt with effectively and resolved around 1884 than they eventually were some 30 years afterwards with what were considerably greater and wider ranging egregious consequences that had not been present thirty years earlier..
And so it goes.
We are not, either here in the UK over Brexit nor on the Continent of Europe because of a cataclysmic failure of the EU tyranny heading into a historic tsunami of unimaginable dimensions, not at all,on the contrary we are already in the middle of it.

fahrenheit451:323

The pantomime continues.. The UK's Quisling Regime has chosen today,VE Day,of all days on which to announce the UK's participation in the 2019 EU Elections.

Legally and constitutionally we of course threw off the yoke of EU bondage on March 29 2019.But the MSM, Commentariat and all the major parties persist in maintaining the tawdry illusion that, somehow, the very life of Brexit is still being arduously fought over by the forces of Remain and the forces of Remain just a little bit longer.

Yet just three short years ago,the EU funded seditionist,fifth-column shills of peoples Vote were barely a glint in George Soros' reptilian eyes.

Supremely self-confident of an ineluctable and historically predetermined triumph at the ballot box,the then UK Chief-Toilet Attendant Cameron, stoked the flames of the Vote to Remain.
Here's a recap of my post of 9 May 2016 - fahrenheit451:048- Spoiler Alert! the irony of course is that neither Cameron nor any other Remoaner politician need have bothered themselves in instigating the metropolitan elitist faux-hysteria.Why ? because the UK was never ever going to be allowed to Leave in any event.........

Another 45 days to go to Referendum Day on June 23,and by the looks of things they’ll have all run out of hyperbole long before we get anywhere near that singularly significant date. We don’t normally, as a supposedly supine and compliant sovereign electorate, get this much Sturm und Drang during General Elections.

The recent Scottish Independence Referendum however did and for the most part it was a welcome heating up of the usual permafrost of indolence and indifference that have been the dominant characteristics of political discourse in the UK as a whole for generations now.

Quite a lot of of otherwise utterly superfluous parliamentary expenses-swindling party appartchiks are genuinely getting worked up about something, but quite what that something is remains a source itself of intense speculation and forensic scrutiny.

For example, for Mary Creagh MP for T’Wakefield , ( yes the Blessed Mary of the Now once again Resurgent Majority ) it’s all down to cheaper calls on the mobile. For others it’s the bonds of eternal friendship with the crypto-fascist gangster regimes of Croatia,Romania and Bulgaria or the legions of unemployed alcoholics from the bankrupt former Soviet Baltic states that are so necessary to the UK recruitment industry in order to drive down wages.

And now, according to Yu-Kay ,Lavatory-Attendant-in-Chief Dave Cameron it’s all about preventing worldwide war and catastrophe. War, especially in the vicinity of even this supine,euro-compliant,Strasbourg’s Rent Boy nation is according to Dave and his chums in the Intelligence & Security Services potentially not a good thing.

And should it ever come it,when the plucky grandsons of the Hurricane and Spitfire heroes have to go and target yet more strategic hospitals and TV studios across the Oder, then concomitantly there would be a vast amount of potential fifth-columnists that would need accommodating in detention camps. At least that’s what used to happen when things went fizz, bang, pop on the other side of the Channel.

But perhaps not this time because Dave clearly implied that it is the stabilising influence of the EU that is in fact preventing such a lively scenario from ever being played out again.

I think he’s pointing the finger at Russia don’t you ? And on May 9th. Victory Day. The last time My Nation and My People finally sorted out the mess others had encouraged, started and had aimed it all at Russia.

Still, June 23 Liberation Day looms a little closer.
*******************************************************
Postscript. Note the naive optimism with which I concluded my post with originally.

The recent shenanigans carried out by Extinction Rebellion over a fortnight in and around central London marked the nadir of British politics as heretofore understood and practised.

Waving placards, demonstrating en masse and venting vacuous platitudes on any matter is of course de facto guaranteed by our unwritten constitution.Largely because any given demonstration by itself doesn't herald much if any of a change in government policy or challenge any set of accepted legal norms.

Unless, that is we have a government in meltdown and we're in the midst of an unprecedented fully blown crisis of constitutional legitimacy.Which we are.

Up pop a mysteriously funded, fully formed campaigning organisation capable of launching a planned,co-ordinated two weeks long disruption of daily London life and traffic flows. An eco-millenarian cult that has metastasized across the european continent and has its own High Priestess/Delphic Oracle in Greta Thunberg.

In the face of this largely gentrified, professional middle class mob espousing veganism, population eugenics and gluing themselves to train carriages and Ministry entrance doors, the Metropolitan Police in collusion with the Home Office nakedly surrendered and were manifestly brazen about their cowardly dereliction of duty to maintain and enforce the Law and public order and safety.

Barely two weeks after this eco-millenarian cult withdrew, the following  headlines sprouted up, a further clarion call for capitulation to the Vegan AlQaeda.

For an apparently inchoate protest movement, Extinction Rebellion certainly seem to have caught the limelight.

Here's what the inveterate, smug metropolitan Labour cultural elitist hack Polly Toynbee spewed forth on Thursday April 18:

" Day four of Extinction Rebellion, which has been a phenomenal success, as climate protesters occupy four pressure points in Britain’s congested capital. Everything has conspired to maximise attention for their climate cause, with the news unnaturally quiet in this pause in Brexit hostilities.
The sun shines on them as Waterloo Bridge is magically transformed into the Boris Johnson £53m garden bridge that never was, with a long line of trees in big pots down the middle and rows of flowers. The calm of the carless river crossing is a good advertisement for how cities might be. “Come and join us, take time off work,” Gail Bradbrook, one of the organisers, exhorted Today programme listeners this morning. She’s right. All who can should be there. "

And on and on the haggard bien pensant hack drivelled ad nauseam.

The strapline " trio charged " refers to three eco-vandals who unlawfully endangered the health and safety of passengers and sabotaged the efficient operation of the light railway by having two trespassers on a train carriage roof and a third who super-glued themselves to another carriage on the platform. This is criminality pure and simple.

BBC Radio 5Live in particular was / is being pimped out to be the broadcasting arm of XR ( as the  Occupy/Anonymous/Green  Soros EU funded hackers and activists like to abbreviate their own extinction rebellion moniker ) .
On April 17th ,( day 3 of the Eco-millenarianist take over of our capital city) the Radio 5 presenter Rachel Burden hosted a phone -in where over population and increasing material consumption were repeatedly identified and demonised as the primary cause of the ecological apocalypse that only hordes of lecturers, teachers, sundry academics, lawyers and other intelligent left wing middle class virtue signallers could help avert.

For educated people, not one of them mentioned the 18th Century polemicist Malthus on whose 1798 writings on population numbers they so clearly base their entire deranged, paranoid belief system. The state sponsored eugenics policies of the Scandinavian countries right up to the 1970s never got a mention nor did China's utterly insane Maoist " one child " policy.
And yet somehow the Green, vegan Islington hipster Labour intelligentsia insisted that  people needed to have fewer children. No doubt they'll be the ones enforcing such policies;out of necessity obviously and not just because they believe that ordinary folk and the lives they lead are a scourge upon Mother earth.

And then there's the XR ,Green,Vegan,LIb-Lab veneration of the pseudo-prophet David Attenborough. An evergreen on the BBC with his wide-eyed manic stare and pseudo biblical pronouncements; but discussing him or them any further would be environmentally damaging.

There's already more than enough horseshit to go round.

Today ,March 29,2019 is supposed to be #BrexitDay , the day when the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland are to leave the european union.

Anglican Tea Lady of the Year and erstwhile Marshal Petain impersonator, May lied bare-faced to the British electorate even as the date was being enshrined into solemn and binding Statute.

This isn't Brexit day and the sovereign Peoples of these islands are still under the yoke of a hostile alien tyranny.

No matter, for in the end History shall ineluctably restore our Historic freedoms and liberties and reinvigorate our cultural and spiritual heritage and legacy.

And in the meantime, the seditionist rabble of the EU funded Peoples Vote 5th.column must have their groves cut down, their idols smashed and their altars destroyed.

I lobbed this into their midst earlier today, just to get the badinage started,

just to reiterate what I said at the beginning of the EURef campaign in '16."I utterly hate, loathe and despise the european union and all that it stands for and does." And today I'm adding, "as well as the metropolitan elites, politicians& those who opposed Brexit".

fahrenheit451:298

New Foreword: It has always struck me as monumentally hypocritical of the PC multiculturalist/globalist metropolitan elites to insist on advocating unrestriced freedom of movement , ie. mass immigration on the basis that we as a Country have an ageing population and the economy requires far more many tax-paying workers than we have at present or are likely to have any time soon to ameliorate what the elites tell us is a demographic timebomb.
The very same ideologically driven metropolitan ruling elites who brought in the Abortion Act 1968 whichhas wiped out countless millions of what would otherwise have been our fellow indigenous UK citizens.
It's worth bearing in mind that:-Of our fellow 7 million pre-birth humans exterminated with state approval since 1968;the cohort so dealt with between 1968 and 78 would by now in the ordinary course of life have become grandparents by now. Those so heinously dealt with between 1979 and 98 would by now be parents of their own children.

( The following originally appeared as fahrenheit451:280 on August 28 this year )

Since the British parliament legalised Abortion in 1968,there have to date been around 7,000,000 abortions carried out in the UK. That approximates to an annual average of around 150,000 per annum or around 3,000 every single week over the last 50 years.
The ballpark figure of 7 million surpasses the number of murders carried out by The German Third Reich in its extermination camps during the years 1939-45 in what became known after the War as the Holocaust.
Such is the monumental scale of what is being carried out in the guise of a regular, routine medicalised procedure that Society at large has become oblivious to just what a monstrous amoral depravity abortion really is.
Women's reproductive  "Rights" and a woman's  "Right" to choose to control her own fertility have all been effectively used as quasi-moral precepts by the proponents of abortion to facilitate the widespread acceptance of the fundamental concept that it's okay and normal and acceptable to systematically exterminate pre-birth humans at the putative mother';s personal whim and insousiance.
On May 26 2018,the Ireland held an advisory referendum on a proposed amendment to Article 8 of the constitution that in effect protects the life of the unborn child. The public vote to give the Dublin legislature the necessary permission and approval to repeal Article 8 and as a consequence legalise abortion was approved 66% to 34% on a 64% turn out. which by common reckoning means that 57% or thereabouts of Ireland's registered electorate did NOT give their active assent to the amendment;then again its always about who votes;not voting never counts.
That in itself is a lesson for all those who refuse to participate  in the democratic political discourse and elections.Your absence helps the other side to win.
And so it goes. Not that all battles are lost quite as decisively as the one in Ireland or even lost at all.
The Senate in Argentina recently vetoed their legislature's procedural attempt to enact their own national advisory referendum on legalising abortion that copied the template of the pro-abortionists' Repeal The 8th campaign in Ireland.
In the United States there is growing disquiet over President Trump's Supreme Court nominee who might, once approved, be in a position to pave the way for an eventual rollback on their own 1968 annus horribilis Roe v.Wade that abomination contemporaneous with our own 1968 Abortion Act.
Any person professing to be a Christian who is indifferent to or fails to oppose, let alone support in any way whatsoever, Abortion, is an apostate and heretic and must be excommunicated.

Wishing only to sledgehammer the point home and channelling  Monty Python's " Dead Parrot "sketch without too much restraint. Brexit is dead.It is no more,it is an ex-brexit.
The metropolitan ruling elites never fell out with each other over the 2016 EURef result. The swarms of Tory fruitflies so faux- vehemently protesting their undying patriotism were no more committed to enacting the British electorate's sovereign decision of 23 June 2016 than their equally scabrous counterparts. It was  " all lies and jsets " and we heard what we wanted to hear and disregarded the blindingly ineluctable obvious.
The EU funded antidemocratic seditionists pretending to be  grassroots #PeoplesVote knew all this from the off. they are now simply being plain and obnoxiously boorish in parading their venal bombastic triumph over the British people.
Once your enemy is dead and buried having a drunken party to celebrate lacks taste and genuine class.
So, a few days ago it was variously reported that " more than 60 " and " more than 70 " business leaders had written to Theresa May demanding a second referendum. these 60 or was it 70 signed the letter as emanating from " Business for a People's Vote " an off shoot of the EU funded  and wholly bogus #PeoplesVote.
and then, just when you'd thought that their impudence and effrontery couldn't get any worse, get this,1,500 lawyers purporting to be " Lawyers for a People's Vote " aka EU funded City shysters on their extended lunch hour have signed a letter to the Anglican Tea Lady of The Year aka Theresa May,demanding an EURef re-run so as the stupid people might not vote incorrectly a second time as they did first.
Who was that said that History repeats itself, first as a tragedy then as a comedy.Or was that too much of a rhetorical question.

It's only a couple of blog posts or so ago that I opined that no-one really gives a shit about investigative journalists.

That was in the wake of the news of Marinova's murder in Bulgaria. She was the third investigative journalists murdered in a EU member state in the past 12 months. Galizia in Malta and Kuciak in Slovakia being the other two martyred for the truth and public accountability.

But  " news " corporate MSM news has now moved on to Khashoggi. A sworn opponent of the ruling Saudi Royal family and of its quasi-medieval politics and practices. A writer and polemicist in exile in the USA and habitue of the Washington Post he popped into the Saudi embassy in Ankara to sort out some bureaucratic paperwork. He was consequently tortured, murdered, cut up into pieces and buried.

Even in Erdogan's Turkey, where some 250 professional Turkish journalists are languishing in prison, this act of barbaric impunity was more than one step way too far to shrug off or excuse. And the proverbial merde hit the international diplomatic fan in spectacular fashion.

Khashoggi is now flavour of the month as far as martyred journalists go.

Which is kind of odd since in theory the murder of investigative journalists ought to be treated equally, except we all know that they're not.

Realpolitik and the ranking of nations plays its ineluctable part in determining just how much concern and consternation surrounds any death of any journalist. How do the murders of Marinova,Kuciak and Galizia stack up against that of Khashoggi's ?

Here's something gleaned from Balkan Insight ,3 September '18 :-

" After Bulgaria funnelled 90 million euros from the EU into restoration projects that critics have slated, conservationists dread the results of the next spending spree – and the expected tourist boom has yet to materialise.

Ana Blagova BIRN“It’s weeping – a weeping fortress,” conservation architect Stella Duleva told BIRN, describing the white substance leaking from the newly-restored walls of the 4th-century Roman fort of Trayanovi Vrata in Bulgaria.

“It had survived 16 centuries, and now it’s been ruined by 2 million euros,” she added.

Sitting atop a mountain pass between ancient Thrace and Macedonia, the fort is one of 120 heritage sites that Bulgaria’s government chose to restore as tourist attractions between 2011 and 2015, using its own money and nearly 90 million euros from the EU’s Regional Development Fund, ERDF.

Conservationists warn that much of the “restoration” work has damaged rather than preserved centuries-old landmarks, without attracting the hoped-for tourism boom. Even one of the scheme’s cheerleaders has suggested that funds have been misused.

Now another tranche of European funding, known in Bulgaria as “Operational programme ‘Regions in Growth’”, is due to become available this year. Under it, at least 100 million euros will be allocated to develop more tourist attractions.

The EU and Bulgarian authorities have conceded to BIRN that lessons need to be learned from the earlier programme, but are still backing the latest spending spree. "

Viktoria Marinova had been busily uncovering widespread fraud and corruption involving EU funding in Bulgaria when she was murdered, apparently by a psychopathic lowlife with a record who was speedily apprehended by the authorities in Germany within a matter of days following Marinova's murder. How convenient.

Kuciak ( along with his girlfriend ) were executed by Mafia hit-men in Slovakia and Galizia was car-bombed in Malta. All of them inextricably linked to various and diverse widespread, institutionalised corruption and fraud within the various member states and between EU member states and the EU bureaucracy itself.

All those prominent political leaders who have spoken out about Khashoggi and demanded to ascertain the  " truth ",all had been previously eerily quiet on Marinova,Kuciak and Galizia.

And so it goes...

The Republic of Ireland recently conducted a plebiscite on the question of whether or not the legislature ought to repeal the amendment to the Constitution that gives protection to the life of the unborn. This is disingenuously called by its detractors  the anti-abortion amendment.
64% of the registered Irish Electorate turned out to vote on May 25. 66% of whom voted to repeal the 8th Amendment.

So on the empirical basis of significantly less than half of the 3 million plus electorate voting for repeal, the supporters of " Together4Yes " and corporate MSM everywhere declared a " landslide victory " for the proponents of unrestricted,state-approved extermination of the pre-birth humans.

The British Prime Minister, referred to in one news report as , " a practising christian " (seriously!) immediately congratulated those who'd campaigned for the Repeal of the 8th.Amendment. She was followed in short order by an unruly stampede of PC metropolitan-based virtue-signalling well wishers.Hardly any time had passed when all the major and minor UK parties called,in one way or another, officially or otherwise in the media for Northern Ireland to amend its laws on abortion to bring it in line with that foreign country on its southern border.

As an inveterate campaigner for the protection of the inalienable rights of pre-birth humans, I found that Peter Hitchen's views and assessment of the issue, from the Mail on Sunday of 3 June sum up incisively all that I want to say.

" This is pretty much the end of Christian Europe. The old Commandment 'Thou Shalt Do No Murder' has been repealed, by the Irish vote to legalise abortion on demand.
There has always been some leeway about killing – mainly self-defence and Just War. But the great religion that formed European civilisation was always against the destruction of innocent life.
What follows isn't an argument about whether or even when abortion is right or wrong. I'll leave that to you. It is about what abortion is, and how the law works.
Oddly enough, when Britain relaxed its abortion laws 50 years ago, the issue wasn't as clear-cut as it was for Ireland last month. In the 1960s, we knew far less about unborn babies than we do now. There were no ultrasound scans.
The miracles of medicine which nowadays frequently save tiny premature babies were unknown.
It was much easier for supporters of abortion to believe that unborn babies weren't really human – a belief they spread by their use of the chilly Latin word 'foetus'. They don't use Latin to describe anything else in their lives, so why do they use it in this case?
It was also possible to claim, as the legalisers did, that making abortion easier wouldn't turn it into a form of contraception.
Back in the 1960s, they argued it was all about a small number of desperate women forced against their will to have babies through no real choice of their own.
Who believes that now, when Britain has 180,000 abortions a year, many of them involving women who have undergone the procedure more than once before?
There was also a claim that there were many thousands of dangerous back-street abortions. But seek facts on this, and you will run into trouble.
At the time, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (in the British Medical Journal of April 2, 1966) said of such claims: 'These are without any secure factual foundation of which we are aware.'
They said there were, on average, 50 fatal abortion attempts each year in England and Wales. This was undoubtedly tragic and gruesome, but did it really justify legalising abortion on demand?
Most people don't realise that before 1967 many legal abortions were already taking place in Britain (about 3,000 a year in NHS hospitals, probably many more in private clinics), just much more tightly regulated.
In short, Ireland has no real excuse for rushing to copy this country, which had taken its decision on the basis of several false assumptions, and in some ignorance of the facts about the unborn.
We went too far and still can't work out what to do about it. And Ireland had plenty of reasons to pause, or be a good deal more cautious.
But this was just as much about the overthrow of Ireland's Christian past as it was about abortion.
For good reasons and bad, much of Ireland has turned its back on its own faith. And, like the rest of Europe, it has embraced the new religion of Selfism, whose chief commandment is 'Nobody has any right to tell me what to do with my own body'.
You can see why people might want to punish the Roman Catholic Church, which has certainly allowed and hidden sexual abuse and brutality.
But these things are not unknown in secular liberal organisations, from children's homes and old people's care homes to the BBC and the police.
Abortion has become a rallying point for the Selfist faith, a test of the new post-Christian version of virtue. How else can we explain the mad calls (many of them from 'Conservative' politicians in this country) to force Northern Ireland to follow suit?
These demands make no sense at all. The whole point of Ireland is that it is separate from the UK.
The whole point of devolved government in Stormont is that Northern Ireland makes its own rules on such things.
If Northern Ireland decides to relax its abortion laws, then the fact that Ireland has done so has no bearing on the matter at all.
The truth is that modern abortion campaigners are fervent dogmatists who impose their new ideology everywhere, on any excuse. They know the truth about it. But they don't mind. They want a very different world from the one we grew up in, and now they are going to get it.
And once one vulnerable, voiceless minority has been classified as less than human, who will be next? "

Here I Stand,I can do no other..

Ceremony and tradition play the central role in the UK's parliamentary operations.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer's perfunctory fiscal state of the nation speech is and has been for quite a long time now just that; ceremonial. The same government policies could as easily be outlined in bullet -point form and then voted on without all the accompanying Barnum & Bailey hoo-ha.

The announcements are in any event of miniscule practical import and merely sustain that which is practically untenable.

Facts trump wishful thinking. And once the customary flim-flammery had been tossed to one side, the sober economic analyses zeroed in to what little meat there was on the bone.

The UK's GDP was still in the doldrums at the Financial Crash level of 2008 and wages are expected to continue in their parlous state for perhaps another decade.

The anti - democratic, referendum verdict denying, brexit-sabotaging majority of MPs used the Budget day contretemps to inveigh further against a pathetically weak and timid government and its miserable handling of the Brexit negotiations vis a vis the EU.

In all, it was a disappointing exposition of what ought to be a lively parliamentary democracy where the Parties first instinct should be fundamentally aligned to the demands of the UK's inalienable national sovereignty.

Fat chance of that.
